Media Corp (Gaming Corpoartion GMC)Attracting Some Big Names. (MDC)

goldfinger - 05 Dec 2003 00:33

Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.

Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.

Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.

Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

This guy seems to command a lot of respect from the other place. Don't know him so can't say if his views are good or not.

JONNO1,

I was a little surprised at your assertion that casino.co.uk does not attract substantial punters. So I asked. And you are wrong.

Casino.co.uk has lots of players holding sums of the order of 500 on Blackjack hands and many who have had big five figure swings in fortune on the site. Indeed, I understand that GMC has better than industry average returns from visitors to its sites.

Of course, the significance of all this is identifying the gathering of momentum. I do not think GMC has anything to worry about.

Hi jimmy: Dickens of a job to get some this morning; even the MMs didn't know what was going on. CFD at 22p although it has come back a bit - folk with 'stop gains' in place! lol! Where are you - I'm Beckley or just out of it. Must meet up and have a chat over a glass some time. Great to go to Florida with this weather which just keeps going on and on. Can't think why Dave is thinking about selling when they are going on to 60p!

Eric

Just got into these this morning.

Can someone tell me what a B trade is?

B2B

IanT(MoneyAM) - 28 Feb 2005 08:50 - 205 of 1117

B2B,

A 'B' trade is a broker to broker trade. A transaction between 2 broker firms,

Ian

dclinton - 28 Feb 2005 08:51 - 207 of 1117

Just got into these, as well. iDealing had no problem getting them, though HoodlessBrennan couldn't supply them online.

brain2brain - 28 Feb 2005 08:58 - 208 of 1117

Many thanks for that folks. Presummably then their inclusion in the sell column is a little misleading and there are in fact far more buys than sells!!

I had to phone Hoodless to get mine.

Looks like after the initial dip they are beginning to pick up.

AdieH - 28 Feb 2005 09:36 - 209 of 1117

Even Ian is monitoring this thread, have you bought some too??

jimmy b - 28 Feb 2005 09:51 - 210 of 1117

Whats happened to the buy and sell page, its wiped itself clean and started again...

AdieH - 28 Feb 2005 10:00 - 211 of 1117

So much trading, lol, if the figures are right only 40million shares are in private hands, so far 15million have been traded today... 40% of shares, maybe they started again, lol... 4p up today me thinks...

brain2brain - 28 Feb 2005 10:11 - 212 of 1117

So what does it mean if 40% of the shares are being traded? If the price of a share is plummeting it presumably means people want out. If the price is rising it means people want in. So in this case do we interpret it as there is uncertainty in the price or are people just profit taking after 2 good days?

AdieH - 28 Feb 2005 10:42 - 213 of 1117

If there is demand then the price will rise, MM's might be short, so they increase the price hoping to induce some selling... I'm fairly new to this... only my opinion... You have to look at the whole picture, i.e. good RNS to support recent rise, 60p target given by Simon Caldwell, the figures seem to justify this...This is the hot area at present, online gambling, take a look at Neteller recent price movement...
