the above may cheer you up markymar ?

markymar - 22 Jun 2011 19:30 - 1960 of 3002

dreamcatcher XEL have a long way to go before i break even my 2 ISAs which cost 20,400 are sitting as i speak at 8,881p

Without going in to much detail as i sold the rest of the shares i held at a huge loss about 4 weeks a go and chucked every thing in to RKH which has gone up since.

RKH is in the middle of its flow test news i would like to think Friday or Monday.

Its the worst start i have ever had,its a matter of sitting tight with the ISAs till they start pumping the oil out.

RKH i pray for good news as i bloody need some XEL is worth on paper 3.50 its half price at moment.

Thats my winge over for today.

dreamcatcher - 22 Jun 2011 19:33 - 1961 of 3002

Good luck

Casting their eye across the North Sea players offering upside potential, the Morgan Stanley analysts plump for Valiant Petroleum (LON:VPP) and Xcite Energy (LON:XEL) as top picks.

Both companies offer attractive valuations combined with near-term production growth and potentially transformational exploration catalysts, they say.

The broker currently has an overweight stance on Xcite, with a 315 pence price target, and for Valiant, it rates the stock as over-weight with a price target of 765 pence

hlyeo98 - 24 Jun 2011 16:25 - 1963 of 3002

but XEL keeps falling... total disaster.

halifax - 24 Jun 2011 16:27 - 1964 of 3002

can't you read the writing on the wall?

dreamcatcher - 24 Jun 2011 17:33 - 1965 of 3002

How are these not going to be a 1 by the end of next week. At the moment only going one way.

required field - 25 Jun 2011 00:08 - 1966 of 3002

Difficult to believe the prices of some of these stocks now......just ridiculous....some form of rebound has to come but when ?....I'm just stuck in here and if I have to wait for an autumn turnaround : so be it....

markymar - 27 Jun 2011 10:04 - 1967 of 3002

Crazy price

cynic - 27 Jun 2011 10:21 - 1968 of 3002

arguably so, but these are at best very twitchy times and there is no news imminent to encourage buying - therefore south the only direction for now

required field - 27 Jun 2011 11:14 - 1969 of 3002

To me : looking like a great bargain at this price.....things will not always be so bad....

Balerboy - 27 Jun 2011 21:17 - 1970 of 3002

Quite so but how long.....3 month -6.... a take over.....when

dreamcatcher - 27 Jun 2011 22:42 - 1971 of 3002

XEL closed at 99p in Canada

Balerboy - 27 Jun 2011 22:47 - 1972 of 3002

out of pocket now......oh dear.,.

dreamcatcher - 27 Jun 2011 22:49 - 1973 of 3002

jkd - 27 Jun 2011 23:07 - 1974 of 3002

Bb
oh dear indeed.you seem rather flipant about losing money.and holding.
this is serious so wake up.
get real.stop hanging on to the losers.add to the winners.
sure it may rally from here but it should have been sold long ago.
just my opinion as always
regards
jkd

Looking interesting to even me now.

If it gets down to the 50p to 65p level come late July/August I might get tempted to buy back into XEL again.

dreamcatcher - 28 Jun 2011 06:13 - 1976 of 3002

I will come to the 50p party.

markymar - 28 Jun 2011 08:09 - 1977 of 3002

Thought i picked a bargain up last week at 1.30.......guess i called it wrong again.

hlyeo98 - 28 Jun 2011 08:10 - 1978 of 3002

Looks like XEL going back to 60p.
