With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

tabasco - 10 Aug 2010 09:56 - 2001 of 6187

And there is a few people at AM that need that shield

Chris Carson - 10 Aug 2010 09:58 - 2002 of 6187

Tabby - Re post 1990 A spokesman for ADVFN said it is often 'forced' to reveal the identities of its anonymous bloggers following Court Orders.

I don't subscribe to ADVFN so have no knowledge, or interest for that matter but surely if they have allowed these posts on a free-for-all bulletin board can they not be sued for allowing it?

tabasco - 10 Aug 2010 10:04 - 2003 of 6187

Chrisevery post cant be vetted.and I would imagine disclaimers in place look at Gausies posts/claimsnow if he could be linked directly to AM.bingo

tabasco - 10 Aug 2010 10:06 - 2004 of 6187

And I might add along with many others!!!

Chris Carson - 10 Aug 2010 10:11 - 2005 of 6187

:o))) Explains Clubbys swift removal perhaps!

cynic - 10 Aug 2010 10:18 - 2006 of 6187

in my opinion, MAM management has over-reacted to some of clubby's rather silly postings (the racist ones and/or alleged threats to hack into the system) and i also think that at least one member here, who seemingly has the ear of the Lord, has been very spiteful

at the end of the day, the ordinary members have little or no say as to who or who is not allowed to stay in the club - bit like golf clubs really

for my part, i very much hope that MAM management will reflect and conclude that they have perhaps been somewhat hasty and allow clubby's reinstatement even if on licence/parole

tabasco - 10 Aug 2010 10:19 - 2007 of 6187

I would say Clubby was banned because he was making a mockery of the gangs postsI try and do it within guidelinesGausie however claimed that I had him banned.perhaps the truth will come out if Cynic is allowed to post Clubbys explanation.dont hold your breath!

cynic - 10 Aug 2010 10:25 - 2008 of 6187

i am not really interested in what you choose to call "the truth", but only in fighting clubby's corner as i genuinely feel he has been unfairly treated, albeit that he can be a total imbecile at times

imo, if clubby has been banned, there is just as good a case for banning some of the posters on the gaza thread - but as i wrote above, it's not my call, so i can only be a noisy backbencher (like dennis skinner!)

halifax - 10 Aug 2010 10:25 - 2009 of 6187

cynic you must be lib-dem at heart!

cynic - 10 Aug 2010 10:26 - 2010 of 6187

no - just one of the "deserved oppressed" so i tend to support similar

hilary - 10 Aug 2010 10:28 - 2011 of 6187

The only person who got Clubman banned was Clubman himself. There is no conspiracy theory and I doubt anybody here actually complained about him to am. Unless you actually saw first hand what went on as it was happening, it's pointless to even hypothesise. The offending articles have now been rightfully removed.

I have no axe to grind with Clubman whatsoever and I've never conversed with him on these boards. In fact, a lot of what he said was quite amusing, but imo he put am into an impossible position on the day he got banned, leaving Ian and Mike little choice in the matter. Until then, I think am had been exceptionally tolerant of his behaviour.

halifax - 10 Aug 2010 10:31 - 2012 of 6187

cynic so club is a "deserved oppressed" in your eyes, sorry we can't agree he is as you say like a foul mouthed racist etc.

tabasco - 10 Aug 2010 10:47 - 2013 of 6187

Amazing how Hilary comes running to support the gang.yet another coincidence?

Chris a quick resume of Mr. Gausies work..

Gausie- 06 Aug 2010 09:57 - 1770 of 2012
Tabs

And you're right - Ian couldn't and wouldn't say anything to me about you.

Clubman3509- 06 Aug 2010 09:00 - 1759 of 2011
Tabby just had a warning from Ian. Can you believe it that ginger jock has reported me. Grasses are the lowest form.

I posted answer to his gay advances on the Traders section, seems to me they are more protected than us.

Gausie- 06 Aug 2010 09:37 - 1766 of 2012
Tabs - it's cos my comments have been reviewed and passed as 'fair comment'.

wanker - 06 Aug 2010 10:20 - 1776 of 2012
Hi guys .............need not tell you clubby back for one more go!

Gausie- 06 Aug 2010 10:25 - 1781 of 2012
I doubt that moniker will last long clubby. And they do have technology to lock your machine out of MAM if you give them too much grief.

so there you have it...you know the names....and you now know the games...

cynic - 10 Aug 2010 10:50 - 2014 of 6187

yes he was that too, though as i have posted previously, i think it was more for shock and effect than for real ..... anyway, it's like water off a duck's back to me, and i certainly miss his posts when he's being sensible and entertaining

tabasco - 10 Aug 2010 11:04 - 2015 of 6187
