Trakm8 receives significant hardware order to upgrade Saint-Gobain fleet telematics
Trakm8, the AIM-listedtelematics and data provider to the global market place,is pleased to announce it has been awarded a significant hardware order from its well-established customer Saint-Gobain. This order is an expansion of the business the companies are already committed to, and will upgrade the entire installed [UK] fleet of vehicles to the Trakm8 ecoN fuel saving fleet management solution.
The contract awarded will total £1.0 million in hardware and service revenues over a two year period, with the fleet expected to be fully upgraded by March 2015.

The upgrade to the driver behaviour device ecoN requires some existing installed fleet hardware to be replaced along with the new addition of a real-time in-cab display. The Saint-Gobain management team is working closely with Trakm8's Applications Engineers to change driver behaviour to reduce the amount of fuel used and improve the accident risk.
In addition to the ecoN upgrade those vehicles with digital tachographs will upgrade to transmit the tachograph data via the telematics devices.
John Watkins, Executive Chairman of Trakm8 commented:
"This significant order from Saint-Gobain is testament to the quality of Trakm8 solutions and the good working relationships we have built over many years with a highly valued customer. Trakm8 invests a significant amount of its revenue into the development of future products to facilitate these good working relationships and we look forward to working closely with Saint-Gobain over the next few years to see them benefit from the ecoN driver behaviour device."
Ian Berril, Director to Transport, Saint-Gobain commented:
"We have worked with Trakm8 for many years and are pleased to upgrade our fleet to the latest technology. We anticipate a quick payback on our investment."

Trakm8 achieves milestones in service and manufacturing capabilities
Trakm8, the AIM-listedtelematics and data provider to the global market place,is pleased to announce it reached over 100,000 units reporting to its servers for the first time in the Group's history, since formation in 2001.
Reaching this service milestone is an important step for the Group as it builds its network of customers across the UK and internationally. During this financial year Trakm8 is anticipated to manufacture and ship over 95,000 units, another record achievement for the Group, which will be facilitated via its West Midlands factory, BOX Telematics ("BOX") acquired 18 months ago.
In response to this landmark achievement and rapidly increasing demand from insurance, fleet management and integrator customers, Trakm8 has made a circa £300,000 investmentto extend the Group's existing facilities at BOX. The investment into a new surface mount assembly line, which will be installed in the next few weeks, will provide the Group with a solid base from which it can service the significant increase in volumes expected during the course of the next year and beyond.
John Watkins, Executive Chairman of Trakm8 comments:
"This marks a significant milestone in Trakm8's history and reflects the growing demand from our fleet, insurance and integrator customers. Furthermore, this investment represents the next stage of our development of the BOX manufacturing facilities in order to meet our customers' expectations for efficient delivery of high quality telematics products.
"Trakm8 has been focused on increasing the number of units reporting to the servers as part of its strategy to increase service revenues, and I am pleased to see the Group is building on this solid financial platform."

Year End Trading Update
Trakm8, the AIM-listed telematics and data provider to the global market place, is pleased to provide a positive update on trading for its financial year ended 31st March 2015.
Highlights
· Group revenues up c.95% year on year
· Annualised recurring revenue up 60% to £7.3m
· Trakm8 orders received up 38% year on year (like for like basis)
· Trakm8 revenues up 73% year on year (like for like basis)
· Strong traction in new contract wins announced in recent months
Trading
Trading for the year ended 31 March 2015 has been in line with the Board's expectations, with strong growth in revenues and profits compared to the prior year. Revenue for the new financial year ending 31 March 2016 is now expected to be ahead of previous management expectations, with profits comfortably ahead of previous management expectations.
Like for like orders (not including BOX business as this was owned for just five months of last year) received during the period were 38% higher than the previous year. Revenues on a like for like basis were 73% higher than last year.
The result at BOX was positively impacted by the integration of £1.8m manufacturing build of telematics devices for Trakm8. This followed the introduction of the T10 and the increased capacity at BOX with a new surface mount pcb line.
When we announced the half year results in December 2014, we reported a strong pipeline of opportunities under trial. It is pleasing to note that we have secured a number of these, which have been announced in recent months. We continue to maintain a strong stream of new opportunities some of which we would expect to convert over the coming months.
We achieved the landmark figure of exceeding 100,000 units reporting to our servers during the year and just over 96,000 units were built and shipped in the financial year as a whole. As a result the recurring revenues increased strongly with annualised March figures 60% up on the previous year at £7.3m
The Group has continued to expand its internal resources in most functions but particularly in design, development and data analysis. Sales and marketing has been strengthened along with the customer support team. Manufacturing investment for increased capacity and quality has been continuing. Net cash at 31 March 2015 stood at £0.6m.
Outlook
The outlook for the new financial year continues to be positive. Recent contract wins and the continuous increase in devices reporting to our servers means that the Group expects to achieve another strong trading performance in the new financial year. The Board now expect revenue for the new financial year ending 31 March 2016 to be ahead of its previous expectations, with profits also comfortably ahead of previous expectations.
Notice of Results
The Group expects to announce its final results for the year ended 31 March 2015 in early July 2015.
John Watkins, Executive Chairman of Trakm8 commented:
"Trakm8 has started to deliver on its potential, with excellent products and solutions, a very strong growth in the installed base, and a widening of the customer base achieved during the last financial year. The investment in resources to capitalise on the opportunities in the M2M and Big Data space is paying off and we expect to be able to continue the improvement in shareholder value."

TrakM8 set to beat expectations
By Jonathan Jones
April 23 2015, 10:51am
Trakm8’s monitoring and tracking services allows companies to track deliveries and their vehicles.
Trakm8 (LON:TRAK) almost doubled sales last year and looks set to smash expectations for this year.
In a very bullish update, the telematics and data provider said comparable revenues were 73% higher in the year to March with recurring revenue rising to £7.3mln, 60% higher than last year.
The company also now expects results to be ahead of expectations in the current financial year.
Trakm8’s monitoring and tracking services allows companies to track deliveries and their vehicles.
John Watkins, executive chairman said: “Trakm8 has started to deliver on its potential, with excellent products and solutions, a very strong growth in the installed base, and a widening of the customer base achieved during the last financial year.”
Broker finnCap said the company had delivered “an excellent trading update” citing recent contract wins and growing monthly revenue as reasons for optimism.
“We are therefore upgrading both our revenue and earnings forecasts for 2016 and lifting our target price to 120p” the broker said.
The news will delight patient shareholders who have seen the share price dip as low as 10p since its listing on AIM in 2005.
Its share price has been creeping back up since 2013 and is now higher than its listing price.
Shares jumped almost 20% today to 115p.

ST of IC today -In the circumstances, I have raised my target price from 120p to 135p, the all-time high dating back to May 2006, and a price level I feel would be warranted if Tramkm8 manages to post EPS of around 10p in the current financial year, or 10 per cent above finnCap's estimates. I would not bet against that possibility given the strong order momentum, high recurring revenue stream and scope for the pipeline to be converted into further contracted orders. My advice is to use the minor pull-back from last week's intra-day high of 125p to the current bid-offer spread of 115p to 117p as a buying opportunity.

ST of IC today - In fact, I believe the odds are firmly skewed to the company reporting yet another positive trading update alongside full-year results in early July, and analysts being forced to upgrade their numbers yet again. For instance, a modest 3 per cent revenue upgrade to Mr Daniel’s current year sales forecast would lead to a profit upgrade three times greater due to the operational gearing of Trakm8’s business to deliver EPS around 10p. In the circumstances I would run your bumper 44 per cent paper profits and await further news of contracts wins and possible earnings upgrades. Run profits.

Directorate Change
Trakm8, the AIM-listedtelematics and data provider to the global market place,is pleased to announce it has acquired the business and assets of DCS Systems Ltd ("DCS") for a cash consideration of £3.3 million (the "Acquisition").
Acquisition
DCS specialises in the design and distribution of camera systems for the motor vehicle, bicycle and security markets. DCS trades under three main brands: RoadHawk, Dogcam and Lawmate.
The Acquisition is in line with Trakm8's strategy of augmenting its organic growth with selective acquisitions that expand its telematics offering to both insurance and fleet customers. Cameras are being increasingly used in a wide range of applications, including a significant demand for forward facing vehicle cameras to record driving incidents and to mitigate the risk from 'crash for cash' accidents. Trakm8 has an existing relationship with DCS, supplying some Trakm8 customers with its RoadHawk cameras.
DCS's last unaudited accounts for its financial year ending 30 April 2015 reported revenues of £2.8 million and profit before tax of £0.6 million. Trakm8 funded the Acquisition from its existing cash and bank facilities. Trakm8 has also obtained a further debt facility from HSBC Bank of an additional £2 million taking the total debt facility to £5.7 million, of which £3.7 million is now drawn down following the Acquisition. DCS will continue to be based in Bodmin, Cornwall and has six staff.
The Acquisition is expected to be immediately earnings enhancing.
Directorate change
Reflecting the strong growth of the Group, Trakm8 is also pleased to announce a strengthening of the Board of Directors with three new appointments. These are expected to enhance its corporate governance and ensure it has the management team to implement its growth plans and integrate acquisitions successfully.
Bill Duffy is joining the Board as an additional independent Non-Executive Director. Bill has considerable commercial experience having been CEO of Andrew Page, Halfords Autocentres and a number of other leading automotive aftermarket companies. He has also been a consultant to the Board over the past 12 months.
In addition Trakm8 is appointing two executives to be Directors of the Group: Sean Morris, as Group Engineering Director and Mark Watkins as Group Operations Director. Sean joined the Group six months ago following senior engineering positions at Continental UK, RAC and Aston Martin. Mark joined the Group 15 months ago as the Managing Director of BOX Telematics following a successful career in IT and operations at Continental UK and Ford Motor Co.
John Watkins, Executive Chairman of Trakm8 comments:
"The acquisition of DCS marks another significant milestone in Trakm8's growth strategy and reflects the growing demand from our fleet and insurance customers for camera applications. We plan to deepen the integration of the camera technology into our telematics solutions for both our fleet and insurance clients.
"Video data is increasingly used to monitor behaviour and to replay outcomes. The increase in the richness of the data generated by our telematics solutions will continue the trend of the increasing value for money in our propositions."
