Though there is a deluge of junior mining explorers on AIM, few can boast that they have already concluded corporate deals with both Phelps Dodge and Rio Tinto and can also boast a highly qualified and experienced management team. Those are the key attractions of Sirius Exploration and we believe that the value of its tie-ups and its gold and copper exploration acreage in the Federal Republic of Macedonia are not discounted in a market valuation of just under 3 million pounds.

As with all junior resource companies there are risks, notably exploration failure and the fact that future funding requirements might not be met. However, we believe that with its high profile corporate tie-ups the upside potential in the stock is enough to warrant an initiation of coverage with a recommendation of speculative buy.
