This last statement shows that corporations are looking seriously at Symphonys products. Yesterdays announcement shows a real coup for the company, as they have walked away from a potential exclusivity contract with no penalties!. Rarely seen IMO.

Bio-degradeable products are appearing everywhere, especially in the consumer disposal market, and Symphony look to be taking a large chunk of this with their own brands.

I believe strongly in the management of the company. I see they have the technical ability and also the qualities required to deal with the financial markets. Too often we see an excellent company with strong technical management, only to see them fail as they have no idea how to deal with the stock market.


That is why I am nominating Symphony plastics as my "tip of the week". If you get in early enough, I believe you could see a potential treble bagger by the end of July.

unlike other blue-sky companies i hold at the moment this one actually has got a product to sell ..and it has been selling it over the past few months .. if you read the last few rns on these you vll appreciate what i am saying.. this why i think this is a genuine growth stock..as we get more news of further contracts etc this vll increase..others vll appreciate the value .like i said b4 hold this one for at least 6-12 months and you vll see the returns.

Local Authority Contract Win

Symphony Plastic Technologies Plc ("Symphony" or "the Group"), through its
wholly owned subsidiary Symphony Plastics Ltd, has for the first time been
awarded an important two year contract, with an option to extend to three years
for the supply of refuse sacks to the Welsh Purchasing Consortium ("WPC").

The contract is for the supply of approximately 30 million non-degradable sacks
to eight authorities throughout Wales with a value in excess of #900,000 over
the term of the contract.

The bags are being used for various applications including the collection of
household domestic waste, kerb side collection of dry recyclables and rubble
collection.

performance bags is further evidence of Symphonys' progress in delivering sales

Good contract i.e.Local authority.Perhaps it will be possible to get similiar
contracts with government/local authorities.Also,private buyers will look
favourably on such a solid client.

Is there any news on this little one? Whats happening with the Tesco/EPI situation,I was quite keen on this stock before Xmas but never managed to buy any. It is slowly ticking down (-0.25p)today. If anyone has any thoughts I'd be obliged.

Dont worry, their results are exptected to be excellent and after will be into profit. A contract will resume the up way for the shares. Just hang in.

I agree with you sagem. Do you know when the results are out? I have been a faithful holder for many months now and will continue my support. I do think that they are great products and that the share price will need more news to kick start it.

I have a feeling that today's sp movement is but a rumble in the volcanic blast that will catapult SYM onto the radar of every UK stockpicker. Sounds like ramping. Isn't. I could be wrong. Don't think I will be. Anything that enables the environment to take an additional few breathes before dying on its feet will be worth its weight in gold. Enter SYM........

Recommendation in Red Hot Penny Shares to sell SYM due to the loss of the retail contract. IMO this is very short-sighted and short-termist as I believe these will really fly but the market doesn't seem to think so today.

This from today's Red Hot Penny Shares update:

"The French Assembly has voted through legislation banning the sale and distribution of all plastic bags and plastics packaging from 2010, unless they are biodegradable."

Surely this is good news for a company like SYM.
