Balerboy - 18 Sep 2012 23:01 - 2002 of 2393

At last some sence spoken, in GKP and AFR and XEL not this pile of poo.,.

cynic - 19 Sep 2012 07:00 - 2003 of 2393

ditto

required field - 19 Sep 2012 11:37 - 2004 of 2393

I shall remind the two of you about those remarks later....

grannyboy - 19 Sep 2012 12:06 - 2005 of 2393

Yes revenge best served cold, and all the sweeter..

chuckles - 19 Sep 2012 13:52 - 2006 of 2393

In the mean time SP down 30% or so since pre official news. But Proramper told everyone gas would be good news, market doesn't seem to agree. If it gets down to 50p could be worth a dabble, at least they found something.

grannyboy - 19 Sep 2012 14:06 - 2007 of 2393

So what you are saying is if it gets to 50p the market will start to believe it?..

chuckles - 19 Sep 2012 16:51 - 2008 of 2393

I'm saying two things, Proramper is full of crap, the market isn't impressed by a gas find. I can go back and find the posts if you want. I'm also saying that st 50p this stock may have some merit in having a punt. Just my own opinion, I have no interest in yours, you don't seem to get much right, I, on the other hand, do. Ta-da :)

grannyboy - 19 Sep 2012 16:58 - 2009 of 2393

How the feck do you know if i get anything right?, just because i don't shout it from the rooftops like YOU do, you've definetly got a VERY big arrogant chip on your shoulder..

In other words you're a tosser!!..

required field - 19 Sep 2012 21:15 - 2010 of 2393

Look : this was a major gas discovery !...now none of us can influence the market...what we can do : is to invest for a better return at some stage and this is what this share has to offer us....market cap is minimal with cash in bank and a big gas discovery under its belt (pretty much certain)....and this next drill could be something special......it is way undervalued as it is in british waters....the world is in turmoil and people are worried and cautious...that is why the sp does not rise as it should...patience ...real value,.. will in the end send the sp higher...

cynic - 19 Sep 2012 21:27 - 2011 of 2393

RF - Loligo is NOT a "major gas discovery", or at least has most assuredly not yet been shown to be so ..... as it stands, the jury is most assuredly out until such a time as some meaningful conclusions can be drawn .... the market has it spot on

chuckles - 19 Sep 2012 22:46 - 2012 of 2393

Grannypoodle, you're very quick to hand out the abuse, apparently black down is a dork for daring to voice an opinion contrary to yours, I mean prorampers! Chip on MY shoulder? Lol, that seems to be your problem. I post my thoughts and since doing so on moneyam they have mostly been right. If you want to check look at Xel, Blnx, Cey, lloyds to name four. I don't over trade so don't expect many tips. You on the other hand have posted what? Pmsl, no chip here, just making money thank you.

greekman - 20 Sep 2012 06:54 - 2013 of 2393

Hi Blackdown,

Just seen your post, "Production is years away and the extraction costs will be relatively high".

Oil exploration is and has always been a risky and both a time and money consuming industry, so your comment is an obvious one and to be honest pointless.

blackdown - 20 Sep 2012 07:42 - 2014 of 2393

Not so. Some (on-shore) fields can be brought on stream fairly quickly and relatively cheaply.

Clearly not the case here and so any valuation of the hydrocarbons (when proved) will include a significant discount.

required field - 20 Sep 2012 08:56 - 2015 of 2393

Cynic...it has not yet been classified yet as one but it will be as the rns implies....this is just the beginning and I'm very surprised that the sp is not much higher...

Balerboy - 20 Sep 2012 09:13 - 2016 of 2393

40p on the cards soon.,.

cynic - 20 Sep 2012 09:15 - 2017 of 2393

ah well (RF), you have long worn those rose-tinted specs so you will no doubt continue to be surprised for at least several months more

Shortie - 20 Sep 2012 09:18 - 2018 of 2393

No abnormal pressure was stated RF, this to me implies that the gas find won't be major despite the size of play. More needs to be known before a firm decision is made. Like Cynic says the jury is still out on this one.

markymar - 20 Sep 2012 09:25 - 2019 of 2393

It could be huge and looks to be a monster of a gas find but we need more meat on the bones.

HARRYCAT - 20 Sep 2012 09:28 - 2020 of 2393

I wonder if that is why ARG is pushing up so much recently? Hopeful of a commercial gas find anywhere in the Falklands.

dreamcatcher - 20 Sep 2012 10:03 - 2021 of 2393

Pro -I have been asked can you update the header on the xel site, otherwise there is talk of opening a new one.
