Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

i confess i join BB in bewilderment about Ernest, though i grant you one does not see its proximity to the failed Toroa site ..... or is Toroa off the map to the east?

Toroa is a long way SE of Ernest in a completely different basin and geology

i stupidly thought that what was notated as southern basin on the header was actually so .... but seemingly it is not so, or if so, just partially so!

If you note in the header there is no FOGL or BOR.
The South Falklands Basin is way down south.
The map in the header is the North Falklands Basin (NFB), the North and South of the NFB.

for me there was plenty of factual news, like finding out that south was north and often flat when it was south, and even rather more east than south!

But when there's a south in the north does that mean that south contains east and west???
