Rockhopper - A big 2011 coming (RKH)

I will not be clicking on anything you put on here !.

Proselenes - 04 Mar 2011 16:29 - 205 of 729

RF.

Scribd is a hosting site for PDF files and the like and PDF files cannot contain a virus.

Its a simple as that.

Norton is a pile of $$%%, IMO, in terms of antivirus, two weeks back it was saying all ADVFN pages were virus ridden.

The links I put on have no virus, but I can say some supposed anti-virus software are really crap.

required field - 04 Mar 2011 16:31 - 206 of 729

Whatever....it did something to my machine and the scan started.....I will not be clicking on anything else.

Proselenes - 04 Mar 2011 16:33 - 207 of 729

Yeah, of course it did ;) LOL

I think Monday morning will be a hot morning, should see lots of buying.

And if something leaks from the rig over the weekend, there might be frenzied buying :)

The drill continues going around and down............

required field - 04 Mar 2011 16:35 - 208 of 729

I have too many of these so I am hoping for a good result.....

avsec - 04 Mar 2011 18:17 - 209 of 729

Sorry Pro. As the moniker indicates I work in security and maybe I am just a tad cautious. I use AVG Enterprise 2011 on all my servers and client desktops - it is the best professional AV programme - period.

The link (which now works correctly) tried to place a Trojan and also placed a site page that looked like a Windows page. Perhaps it was a 'blip' but it certainly wasn't healthy - as others have indicated!

The AV Log shows:
"Infection";"Trojan horse Cryptic.CHW";"cDELETED FOR IDENTITY\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\APO1ET9H\AntiSpyWareSetup[1].exe";"";"04/03/2011, 14:21:35"

Perhaps you should run your AV again from a clean boot! Just friendly advice!

Proselenes - 04 Mar 2011 19:12 - 210 of 729

Eset, best AV there is.

All clear for me. Perhaps the hijack only targets weaker systems. Some people said there was a hijack and others reported it works fine.

Works fine for me every time.

Looks to me like its an advert gone wrong, its trying to advertise some anti spy ware software from the log you post, but some systems are picking it up as malware.

If you want to prevent these kinds of things download and use Spybot Search and Destroy - just google it - works great and its free as well.

Balerboy - 04 Mar 2011 22:12 - 211 of 729

prat!!

required field - 05 Mar 2011 08:39 - 212 of 729

Guys, don't click on any more links,.....to say that Norton is rubbish is ridiculous.....they are one of the best anti virus, spyware firms there are and I'm afraid that Spybot does not cover everything....Proselenes do not try that trick again, other wise I will inform money am about it......it might not have been deliberate but several posters here say the same thing......if you put links : they must be free of spyware please.

Proselenes - 05 Mar 2011 14:40 - 213 of 729

RF, feel free to inform Money AM. As far as my system and others I have tried the link is totally ok.

But that is systems with decent AV and anti-spyware installed.

Perhaps the boys from Money AM would like to try it, and indeed perhaps you should complain to the hosting site which is scribd.com which is a big hosting site for PDF's and the like.

Feel free if you want to.

aldwickk - 05 Mar 2011 21:01 - 214 of 729

AVG is the best freeware , most service engineers recommend it.

Proselenes - 06 Mar 2011 03:11 - 215 of 729

Freeware is freeware - and AVG is the best free ware, but its not the best anti-virus imo.

Anyway, lets get back to Rockhopper, they should be into Sea Lion main fan today or tomorrow or even already.

avsec - 06 Mar 2011 08:19 - 216 of 729

At 270 for AVG Entrerprise I would hardly call it 'Free'! The free AVG is excellent but you can wait ages for it to update; AFAIK that is the only drawback with the Free version.

To me entering the oil fan (whatever that means) where it has already been discovered is the big thing, the deeper part would just be a great bonus if discovered......to me this whole area reminds me of squashed bagpipes if you don't mind me using that expression....as to how the oil is distributed around.....with a big puddle and fans reaching out .....

Potential credible rumour from LSE.

Last post by this poster was Feb 18 and was correct.

"Good progress is been made with good weather window, anchors should be going down late Saturday early Sunday RNS of spud Monday.

This one is the game changer for RKH"

The RNS was on Monday Feb 21

The new post by this poster is :

"They are coring at moment and looks good at the depth the rig SMELLS. wire line crew on board tom"

Perhaps why volume was up yesterday and lots of buying of the sellers overhang. Perhaps time to get a little excited then.

Proselenes - 10 Mar 2011 07:51 - 221 of 729

If the wireline crew are on board tomorrow lets hope they core and wireline Sea Lion upper and release good results, and then move on to Sea Lion lower, same again and then on to the lower unknown fans.

A string of news releases over a couple of weeks would be lovely.

blackdown - 10 Mar 2011 08:17 - 222 of 729

Depends on what they contain.

Just a little bit of good news would send this 50p higher.....
