diamond told the agm a load of bollocks read is statement
the man is not honest
holders returns are not good enough well since he took over the company as lost over 33 percent of its value .
diamond is a walter mitty and sholud be hounded out .
he has no morals at all .
remember is statement back in feb the same rubbish .
the only people getting any thing out of barclays is the board .

so it goes to show the world that these so called top bankers are

LONDON (Reuters) - Barclays (LSE: BARC.L - news) warned it could cut a total of 3,000 jobs in 2011 as part of an ongoing drive to reduce costs.

Chief Executive Bob Diamond told reporters on a conference call that there had been a net reduction in headcount of 1,400 during the first half.

He added that although Barclays did not have a precise overall job cuts figure in mind, the first-half trend was likely to accelerate in the second half.

"You should assume this trend to continue and increase somewhat," said Diamond.
