Hilary M&S is now just a store for an older generation

Take That, number one male group and faces of Marks & Spencers Autograph menswear range have designed an exclusive range of limited edition ties for M&S which are on sale now perfectly timed for Christmas gifts.
I dont get that one Hilary?

maddoctor - 21 Nov 2008 15:34 - 211 of 974

chocolat - 21 Nov 2008 15:38 - 213 of 974

Oops, was interrupted by the phone whilst I was finding the piccie ;)
Just noticed I said I might pop - but that's probably true.

So glad to be of use, Mr C!

And right again, Hil - I wouldn't have bothered with them at all if they hadn't opened the one a couple of miles away - some years ago now. Along with Tescos and another retailer, they had to bribe the council for planning permission, by paying towards the new roads that were built.

hilary - 21 Nov 2008 15:45 - 214 of 974

QED, Chilli.

Yes, I know they moved about 4 years ago, but I still have contacts at senior level still and the culture has not changed much. I spoke with someone there only last week.

chocolat - 21 Nov 2008 15:52 - 216 of 974

Haystack - size 8 wouldn't fit you anyway ;)

Haystack - 21 Nov 2008 15:55 - 217 of 974

It would have done once when I had a 28" waist! Those were the days.

Haystack - 21 Nov 2008 15:59 - 218 of 974

My estimate is still 187p for MKS as a low, although I suspect it may hit 169p.

cynic - 21 Nov 2008 16:01 - 219 of 974

28" waist implies about 36/38" hip from memory, which is a healthy size 12 or even 14!

Haystack - 21 Nov 2008 16:03 - 220 of 974

Mens' hips are smaller in relation to womens'.

tabasco - 21 Nov 2008 16:03 - 221 of 974

cynic - 21 Nov 2008 16:08 - 222 of 974

will also depend how fat an arse you've got!

Haystack - 21 Nov 2008 16:13 - 223 of 974

Haystack comes from a combination of my surname and stack being a common term for computer memory. It was the name of a Unix server I had (you have to name Unix machines when you install Unix).
