Europa Oil and Gas ( EOG ) (EOG)

Proselenes - 16 Nov 2010 00:46

.

Proselenes - 25 Nov 2010 09:12 - 21 of 705

..............The Barchiz prospect is 10 kilometres from, and on trend with, the Geamana oilfield with 50 million barrels of oil (mmbo) reserves. The pre-drill oil-in-place estimate for Barchiz is up to 94 mmbo and there are five additional leads on-block in the same structural play which will be significantly upgraded by success at Barchiz............

So P10 is 94 MMBO of oil in place, take a recovery factor of 40% and you get up to 37 MMBO recoverable.

Then split the 37 MMBO recoverable between the partners.......

For a sub 20m market cap company like EOG its potentially very high impact, as is noted in the header.

Proselenes - 26 Nov 2010 09:56 - 22 of 705

As far as I can find out from asking a few people, the formation was found much higher than anticipated, however MNP wanted to go all the way to TD to get the full data set on the geology.

MNP prevented EOG from making any announcement with reference to the find below 664M as they wanted the news suppressed until after TD had been reached.

Thats why no reference was made to having hit the pay early on, until after TD, as EOG are the minor partner and MNP controls the news and EOG have to toe the line.

Bugger eh.... been sat on an oil find for a couple of weeks and we did not know.....

As ever, IMO and DYOR

Oil discovered....this is looking good....

cynic - 08 Dec 2010 15:17 - 24 of 705

tread carefully .... just picked up on reuters ..... Upper dst on the barchiz-1 well has recovered crude oil * Sample was contaminated, the operator is planning to re-run the dst

Sp...rising rapidly.....not their only asset....

grannyboy - 08 Dec 2010 15:30 - 26 of 705

cynic - 08 Dec 2010 16:10 - 27 of 705

halifax - 08 Dec 2010 16:25 - 28 of 705

cynic see who started this thread, nowhere to be found or has he turned into a granny?

cynic - 08 Dec 2010 16:31 - 29 of 705

hi hali ..... yes indeed; perhaps i have wounded him deeply by merely hinting that he might be somewhat economic with the facts of his prowess ..... so thin-skinned some of these southerners

are you a holder here? ..... it's a bit of a mini-minnow

halifax - 08 Dec 2010 16:36 - 30 of 705

cynic no too exotic!

Bought a lot of this with profits from XEL....some of them....

cynic - 08 Dec 2010 16:57 - 32 of 705

you must have been able to buy a controlling interest .... no wonder you're trying to get everyone else on board!

Balerboy - 08 Dec 2010 17:50 - 33 of 705

halifax you beat me to it, also thought same about granny. Look back on other threads and you find him talking to himself......first signs..........

required field - 08 Dec 2010 20:33 - 34 of 705

This is a very low market cap with prospects.....could easily be worth double the present value.

Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings
Pre-AGM Operational Update

Pre-AGM Operational Update

The Directors of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc are pleased to provide updates
on the Barchiz oil discovery and the West Frisby-9 drilling operations ahead of
today's AGM.

Barchiz-1 Oil Discovery - Well Suspended for re-entry appraisal in the Spring

The re-run DST sample contained crude oil along with mud filtrate and formation
water, indicating that the well is located in the lower part of an oil column
(transition zone) adjacent to an up-dip oil accumulation. It was not possible,
with the equipment currently available in-country, to lift the well and conduct
a prolonged flow test of the zone.

Due to the mountain winter conditions, no further work on the well can take
place until the spring. Accordingly, the well has been suspended and the rig
demobilised from site.

The options being planned for this future work programme are a full flow test
of the well, and/or a possible up-dip sidetrack. The Barchiz structure is a
strongly westerly dipping feature similar to the 50mmbo Geamana Field, 10km
along trend to the south, such that testing a significantly up-dip location to
the east can be easily achieved from the existing wellbore.

In the meantime, the data from the well test will be assessed, including crude
oil sample analysis, a second iteration of reservoir log analysis with the
fluid property data and incorporation of the well seismic survey into the
structural interpretation.

West Firsby-9 Drilling Update

Work is progressing on the new West Firsby-9 well, designed to be a
near-horizontal oil production well in the core area of the West Firsby
structure. The concrete pour to complete the well cellar construction was
achieved on the 11th December and the forward programme is for the 17 " hole
to be pre-drilled and cased ahead of mobilisation of the Geometric HH102 rig in
late December to drill the main section of the well.

Paul Barrett, Managing Director of Europa, said "The evidence from the Barchiz
well suggests it was drilled on the edge of a Geamana-style oil accumulation.
It is, however, too early to assess potential reserves and eventual flow rates
that can be achieved with a full flow test and an up-dip sidetrack. Future
operations are expected to provide these numbers. Meanwhile, at West Firsby, we
are on-track to drill a multi-zone producing well."

Disappointing RNS in my opinion.. unless theres something i'v missed. IMHO...

I thought something like this might happen......still undervalued this little oilie.....

blackdown - 14 Dec 2010 10:32 - 38 of 705

No doubt Pro sold out at 25p+, given his perfect timing (every time).

required field - 14 Dec 2010 10:46 - 39 of 705

This will rebound as the UK wells are going to drive the share....

23 Dec 2010

West Firsby Operational Update

The Directors of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc are pleased to provide an
update on the West Firsby-9 drilling operations.

The tophole section is now completed and cased to a depth of 206 feet. The
Geometric HH102a rig has moved onto site, with a view to rigging up by close of
business on Xmas Eve. Drilling operations on the main hole section will
commence after the Xmas weekend.

Paul Barrett, Managing Director of Europa, said "Construction of the well
cellar and the drilling of the tophole section have taken place in challenging
weather conditions and all involved have risen to the challenge admirably. We
now look forward to the main drilling phase and will report in the New Year on
progress. In the meantime, I would like to wish all our stakeholders a very
Merry Xmas and a particularly prosperous New Year."
