Hils - spot on - redknap is as good a manager there is with little budget to spend

DD - im told from someone who knows that chelsea are prepared to pay campbell 100k a week - matching his current contract at arsenal - his new contract at arsenal is said to have been pitched at 60k per week so we'll see if money speaks

Adie - Cygan - nuff said - would rather see Senderos get his chance

AdieH - 24 Nov 2004 18:20 - 2109 of 7811

Lol, don't think Sols on his way to the russian revolution at Chelsea, there are some people/players who show loyalty (Henry for one). We will see.

Rather follow a club that have the fundations and history rather than a playboy billionaire who could walk away at any time...

Time will tell.

daves dazzlers - 24 Nov 2004 20:11 - 2110 of 7811

Fundy i think sol will walk away from the arse, and over to the bridge, now he`s hooked up with dido . Is that right cambell has never asked for a transfer in his career?

daves dazzlers - 24 Nov 2004 20:25 - 2111 of 7811

Fundy placed my wager for sundays game reds win ..2/1 odds.
It will be hot in the ground,,we cant score,,you cant win,,must be a draw ???

daves dazzlers - 25 Nov 2004 08:53 - 2112 of 7811

Morning all,i see where all still a sleep.

chinapete - 25 Nov 2004 10:12 - 2113 of 7811

"I see we're all still asleep."

Just like the SP. It's ironic, we have a company making deal announced and we all wind up worse off!

willfagg - 25 Nov 2004 10:38 - 2114 of 7811

I think thats a pretty good summary!

AdieH - 25 Nov 2004 10:43 - 2115 of 7811

patience...

proptrade - 25 Nov 2004 10:46 - 2116 of 7811

sol, please don't go! i have a feeling that he will stay in spite of all the rubbish in the press.

daves dazzlers - 25 Nov 2004 10:51 - 2117 of 7811

Prop, why dont arsenal match the money ?

AdieH - 25 Nov 2004 10:53 - 2118 of 7811

They have a tight pay structure which they are not willing to exceed, look at other clubs and the state of their finances, only a few clubs make profit these days... Arsenal is a well run club from the top down, pity we aint performing on the pitch at the moment, 25 million for Vieira looks like an opportunity missed...

daves dazzlers - 25 Nov 2004 10:56 - 2119 of 7811

Adh,i am going to the game on sunday.

proptrade - 25 Nov 2004 11:10 - 2120 of 7811

it will be a hell of a match. i think in terms of money if they match it they are forced to up viera's pay and could rock the rest of the team. i believe sol wants to say and is just making wenger sweat it out. for what its worth i think he will sign a 3 year deal with an option on a fourth at a minimum rate with performance and appearance bolstering wages in that last year.

AdieH - 25 Nov 2004 11:23 - 2121 of 7811

Lucky you Dave, I hope we bounce back, we have still only lost 1 match in the league in 55 games or something close, that is still some record...

hilary - 25 Nov 2004 11:24 - 2122 of 7811

I think that the whole saga's been pumped up by an agent fishing for a better deal for Campbell.

I don't think that Chelsea are interested in him for one second. For a start, he's a bit too old for their current gameplan. Real Madrid is a different kettle of fish though, imo.

willfagg - 25 Nov 2004 11:29 - 2123 of 7811

sorry wrong thread its obviously ARSE not SEY!

Fundamentalist - 25 Nov 2004 11:31 - 2124 of 7811

Hils

The one side that have always wanted him and still do on all accounts is Juventus.

Still think Cudicini to Arsenal in january is a match made in heaven.

Adie - totally disagree on the viera comment

proptrade - 25 Nov 2004 11:32 - 2125 of 7811

Hils we are in agreement.
