Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Golddog - 15 Mar 2005 12:34 - 2121 of 24230

Blimey, i have more votes than the Conservatives already. (mutley snigger)

Bunny, What's on the lunch menu today? i'm feeling a bit pastry?

Priscilla - 15 Mar 2005 12:37 - 2122 of 24230

How about a Tote Toastie, Pooch? Or a Punter's Pie?

Golddog - 15 Mar 2005 12:40 - 2123 of 24230

Priscilla, I'm feeling in the mood for a chicken i think (i don't mean sexually), but in a pie. Not sure what a punters pie is? but if you recommend it then it must be lovely.

chocolat - 15 Mar 2005 12:43 - 2124 of 24230

I see Stephie went for a dobbin.
G'day Doggie!!

Golddog - 15 Mar 2005 12:47 - 2125 of 24230

G G G G'day to you Chicky Choc Chick.

Not sure about my horse today, saw him earlier and he had a very long face!

Priscilla - 15 Mar 2005 12:49 - 2126 of 24230

Punters' Pie takes its derivation from the Irish Punt (now sadly extinct). It is on the Lite Bite Menu today because a lot of the Irish are represented at Cheltenham either on four feet or two. The cellar notes say it is especially tasty if served with a can (or three) of Boddingtons.

Ingredients comprising the contents of the Dog's Bowl this lunchtime.....chunks of chicken, slices of mild pork and leek sausage (well grilled first!), peas, herbs, bacon rolls and lots of puff pastry, with a bread sauce dollop on the side.

Priscilla, if i could find a graphic of an excited dog lapping up a bowl of your punters pie, then please imagine my drooling mouth and me licking my lips, and my tail wagging.
