dealerdear - 26 Oct 2009 12:46 - 2147 of 2511

Having read through it, absolutely nothing wrong with the update statement at all. The drop in price was probably due to

1) There was nothing in the statement to enable the MM's to rise the sp by 30-50% or so and as such it was being temporarily 'punished' by the market.

2) By shorting the stock the MM's were probably hoping they could activate more stop losses to enable them to accuulate more shares.

All IMHO

Are you still holding deardealer ?

cynic - 11 Nov 2009 07:40 - 2149 of 2511

Victoria Oil & Gas Plc

(AIM: VOG)

Update of Logbaba Gas and Condensate Project, Cameroon

Well La-105 at the Logbaba project in Cameroon encounters approximately 90 feet of gross sandstone pay at depth of 6,030 feet

The Company is now entitled to apply for 35 year exploitation licence

Well expected to reach total depth of 10,300 feet within four weeks

GeoDynamics Research Srl ("GDR") commences passive seismic spectroscopy survey over entire licence area

Victoria Oil & Gas Plc, the AIM quoted oil and gas exploration and development company with assets in Cameroon and the FSU, is pleased to announce an update on drilling of Well La-105 at its Logbaba gas and condensate project in Douala, Cameroon ("Logbaba").

During successful drilling of the 12- inch hole section, around 90 feet of gross sandstone pay at approximately 4,000 psi pressure were intersected at depths between 6,030 and 6,120 feet measured depth. These gas-bearing zones were intersected as anticipated by the well prognosis and appear to have good porosity and permeability.

This horizon appears to correlate to sand that was also penetrated by Well La-103, which was drilled by Elf in the 1950s. That single zone in La-103 flowed at approximately 4.5 million cubic feet of gas (around 800 barrels of oil equivalent) per day on an open-hole drill stem test. Although the sands were tested, they were not included in the proven reserve estimate performed by RPS Energy in 2008, which calculated proven and probable reserves for Logbaba of 106 billion cubic feet.

Following this discovery and penetration of the first gas-bearing horizon, VOG now intends to apply for the 35-year exploitation and production licence.

Drilling has reached a depth of 6,200 feet measured depth and well conditions continue to require careful management. Temperature at the planned total depth of 10,300 feet is projected to be as high as 320 degrees Fahrenheit at pressures exceeding 8,000 psi and so additional drilling and mud-cooling equipment is being mobilised to the site before commencement of the final 8- inch hole section. The well is anticipated to be completed within four weeks.

Meanwhile, a team from GDR has commenced an Infrasonic Passive Differential Spectroscopy (IPDS) or passive seismic spectroscopy survey of Logbaba. Given the large numbers of buildings on or around the field, conventional seismic surveying would prove extremely difficult. However, passive seismic spectroscopy surveying is ideally suited to the environment as it does not rely on artificially-created seismic waves.

The survey will take measurements at approximately 50 locations around the field to identify areas of potential hydrocarbon saturation. The survey is expected to take about 15 days, with initial findings available within two months of completion. This will be the first passive seismic spectroscopy survey in Cameroon and the first geophysical data of any kind acquired for Logbaba since the original seismic lines acquired by Elf in the 1950s.

Commenting on today's update, Chairman Kevin Foo said today, "We are very pleased to have encountered 90 feet of our first gas sands at Logbaba. These could ultimately result in new reserves for the field. This also means we can apply for the 35-year production rights for the project. Conditions in the well are complex so we are bringing in additional equipment before completing the final hole section."

Background Information on Victoria Oil & Gas Plc:

Victoria Oil & Gas is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company with projects in Africa and the FSU. The Company's principal assets are the Logbaba gas and condensate project in Cameroon and the West Medvezhye gas field in Siberia, Russia. Logbaba is located in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon. The field was discovered in the 1950s and all four exploration wells encountered gas. Three of the wells flowed gas at rates of up to 62 million cubic feet per day. West Medvezhye is situated in the prolific Yamal-Nenetsk hydrocarbon region in Siberia. An independent reserve audit estimated prospective resources for the field of over 1.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

projected to be as high as 320oF at pressures exceeding 8,000psi and so

the large numbers of buildings on or around the field, conventional seismic
surveying would prove extremely difficult. However, passive seismic

Comment
This is good news, albeit very much expected and too early to lead to an increase of estimates for the field.
The well needs to be completed and the gas bearing zones tested before any conclusion can be reached as to the success of the Logbaba venture. However things are looking good and on the right track.
The operational delay is not of too much concern as long as it is kept in check.
Recommendation
We retain a Buy recommendation with an unchanged price target of 7p."

but you do, BB, you do ...... don't know where the above nonsense came from ..... VOG is a total shit company in which i have inherited a small holding ..... AEX i have no interest in at all, though i know it's a junior partner of TLW, which i unashamedly do rate highly

leewink7 - 19 Nov 2009 14:37 - 2155 of 2511

You keep going on about your crap share hold, you must be stuck in it with a lot of money and its dumped then, wasn't it you or an alias in NML years ago the same, stuck in and it delisted to the forex, LOL.

I told everyone to sell that and you laughed, cyn, your a muppet, always will be, always buy the wrong share at the wrong time.

The spread is so marginal on vog you could sell it now with minimal loss, presuming you bought sensibly on price to start with, but I doubt that.

cynic - 19 Nov 2009 14:58 - 2156 of 2511

fortunately, i only have about 50k (shares!) in here which was the result of a t/o by VOG of another company in which i held shares .,..... i have no idea who NML are or were

i take it you hold considerably more, and at a considerable loss .... perhaps you also hold the likes of SEO and GOO

ptholden - 19 Nov 2009 22:32 - 2157 of 2511

Business Financial Newswire
"Victoria Oil & Gas reported a pre-tax loss of $42.4m for the year to May against a previous $1.2m. Revenue reported for the year was nil, against a previous 1.7m.

The result included a $35.5m impairment charge against the carrying value of the Kemerkol, Kazakhstan, asset.

The company said, 'We continue to fight our corner in the Kazakhstan legal system on this project, but its importance in the day to day business of Victoria has been minimised. We will also seek solutions within economic and legal limits.'

The company raised more than $28m in new equity following the year end and acquired an interest in the Logbaba project in Cameroon.

Chairman Kevin Foo said the Logbaba project was expected to provide material cash flow in 2010. This cash would also help to unlock the potential of Victoria's large West Medvezhye project in Russia.

Spudding of the first appraisal well at Logbaba took place in August with intersection of 90 feet of gross sandstone pay.

The company also completed a first seismic study around Well 103 at West Medvezhye and received confirmation by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russian category C3 recoverable resources of 170m barrels of oil equivalent for just three structures in the licence block. "
