HARRYCAT - 31 Mar 2010 13:58 - 2202 of 2511

L106 spudded 6th Feb and by the 17th were at 3200 feet and casing. Given this rate, 28th Feb would see us at 6400ft and mid March easily TD assuming no problems along the way. Plus two weeks as we are now end of March we have to be very close to news.

cynic - 31 Mar 2010 14:28 - 2203 of 2511

and given VOG's record, is it likely to be genuine if dynamic?

skyhigh - 21 Apr 2010 07:21 - 2204 of 2511

Good-ish RNS this morning.....
Will top up on the dips..will settle @ 3.5p during the summer whe it's all quiet! (imho)..there'll be an initial spike then pull back..always does!

Logbaba

"VOG's second well, La-106 at the Logbaba gas and condensate project ("Logbaba") in Doula, Cameroon successfully reached a total measured depth of 10,509 feet on 17th April 2010. Well La-106 is currently being logged prior to its completion as a development well. The well was drilled deeper than planned due to the better than expected sand quality in the Lower Logbaba sections. Multiple gas-bearing sands were encountered between 5,482 feet and 10,400 feet, which can be correlated to wells drilled in the 1950's. The data obtained indicates in excess of 300 feet of gross pay. Further detailed information on La-106 will be announced after running open-hole logs and completing the petrophysical evaluation. Well flow tests will be run after the casing is set."

From shares Mag this week:
"Shares in VOG have fallen 43.7% to 3.2p since the start of 2010 with sentiment hit both by cost & time over-runs on drilling in Cameroon and the dilution from a $53m placing on 1st march. Although these are legitimate concerns, Shares believes that VOG is worth buying ahead of a positive reserve update expected in July.
Part of the reason for the over-runs, which have seen the company double drilling expenditure to $48m and fail to complete it's activity before the end of last year, is that the two wells the group has drilled on it's Logbaba gas project have exceeded expectations.
The second well in particular, LA-106, was drilled to greater depth because, having reached the initial target area, it was still encountering hydrocarbons. COO Radwan Hadi said it would have been 'criminal' to stop drilling. The 48m business is analysing the results from both wells & hopes to get a reserve update from independent auditor RPS Energy in the next couple of months - with an aim of getting the field onstream before the end of the year.
The attraction of Logbaba lies in it's proximity to the port of Douala. The industrial market in the city consumes the equivalent of 15m cu/ft per day in high-cost liquid fuels & VOG has signed letters of intent with a number of potential clients to service around half of this market at a price of $16 th/cu/ft gas. It hopes to use the cashflow from this project to fund exploration on it's 'company changer' - The West Medvezhye field in Siberia."

no spaceships required here then. whos are those letters of intent from? the customers or VOG?

I'll tell you something : if they do deliver on good news : 10p could be on the cards by the end of the year....perhaps more...

required field - 15 May 2010 09:33 - 2211 of 2511

This is undervalued...I've been knocking VOG for some time now, but this is looking quite good if promises are fulfilled.

cynic - 15 May 2010 09:45 - 2212 of 2511

the nub lies in the last phrase ..... kevin foo and frank timis attended the same school; at least arthur daley was good for a laugh

required field - 15 May 2010 09:56 - 2213 of 2511

You are kidding...?...

cynic - 15 May 2010 10:01 - 2214 of 2511

no ..... by accident i have a small holding in VOG ..... the company, like EME, has consistently failed to deliver

required field - 15 May 2010 10:09 - 2215 of 2511

3p is very low....don't want to ramp but don't you think that that sounds "very low"..2 gas wells....in gas terms = hydrocarbon terms = 10000 barrels per day tested...coming on line 4th quarter...30 million cap.....

cynic - 15 May 2010 12:00 - 2216 of 2511

if u want to believe anything they out out, then maybe ..... seems to me that foo and his pals are very good at lining their own pockets

required field - 18 Jun 2010 10:33 - 2217 of 2511

There could be a very substantial jump in the sp upon publishing the much awaited reserves update in a few weeks time.

skyhigh - 18 Jun 2010 10:40 - 2218 of 2511

then again......? who knows!

required field - 22 Jul 2010 08:16 - 2219 of 2511

At first glance it seems like a good update....
