Deltex (DEMG)

grajul - 19 Feb 2004 13:39

Hi all
pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!
thanks in advance.

THE COUNT--->GAUSIE

Do you kow the guy? He must be a bit of a crazy....must have more money than sense, eh? :-)

As always, dealing with the NHS is almost bloody impossibel, but they are now making progress and the beauty of the business model is that each monitor sold will generate far more in ongoing consummables for many years to come. The probes cost around 60 a time and it is one per patient so there is plenty of upside once they can get the lumbering juggerbnaut that is the health service to accelerate the take up.

I don't think there is any real doubt of the advantages of haemodynamic optimisation...more and more clinicians are now sold on the idea and just as importantly, NICE have commented that they see this as an acceptable standard of care rather than placing the technology under their remit as they do with most new technologies. This should substantially aid the marketing effort to the dildos that control the NHS purse strings.

Nice of you to look in on this thread.

Regards,

THE COUNT!

Hey, Georgie, you sound as if you know this guy.

Pray tell us a bit more.

This Count (what a pompous name!) Sounds like a pump and dump merchant to me.
In for a few shares and runs for the door as soon as he has made a few 100 quid.

Gausie - 22 May 2006 19:03 - 228 of 968

Gausie--->THE COUNT!

Yes - He's an aussie poker player. You can see his bio here: John Christou

Greekman - isn't Christou a greek name? Maybe you know him? I think he's a Barca footie fan.

THE COUNT--->MARTINI

I can't stand these dodgy merchants.

I hope he lets us know before he decides to pump and dump this one. Methinks if anything goes wrong, with the sort of liquidity this stock has relative to his holding, that he will end up being quite royally pumped and dumped!!!! :-)

Good to see that the gang are out and about this evening.

See y'all soon.

Regards,

THE COUNT!

Gausie--> The Count!!

I know a bit about the NHS, and do indeed hold a few. Maybe more than you, in fact. I have over 3000 worth!!

The NHS is focussing more and more on new technology and sees it as a way of saving staff costs and beds. Figures released today show that the total number of beds needed by the NHS is now two thirds of the requirements of 20 years ago - which they see as a huge return on their investments in technology.

A friend of a friend of mine knows this John Christou.

If you want to ask him any questions post them up here and I will see if I can get them to him.

THE COUNT--->GAUSIE/MARTINI

That's great, but come on, you must announce it to the market. We need to push this as far as we can, especially in these dodgy markets.

You could well have more than me, are you approaching that 3% yet though. I want to see your name up there in the stars.

I think you might be quite right about that JC fella being a bit of a Barca fan. I heard he was very much a Barca fan last Wednesday.

Is Dowie about to become your manager by the way?

Oh, and on the NHS front, I agree with much of what you say but the NHS is predominantly run for the benefit of the staff first and foremost, and when they have to balance the books, one of the areas they can easily hit with not too much political fallout or without too much grief from the health unions is investment in new technology as we have found with DEMG.

Many doctors are indeed won over, but still the finance people are holding back...they like to spend many millions on all this new software instead giving all sorts of dodgy software companies money for software that don't bloody work, innit!!!!!

I jest you not though, current clinical demand in the UK alone is running at a factor of ten times actual usage. That is in excess of 300,000 probes in the potential pipeline....or around an extra 18m of annual turnover extra. This is business that is won, if only the docs could get the funding for it. That could generate profits of 8m - 10m pa conservatively speaking. On a present market cap of around 15m, I think you should be able to see why it could be interpreted as being a bit on the cheap side.

But, unless there is political will and administrator/financier will to accelerate this, then takeup could go on being relatively slow...but despite that, takeup is moving ahead and this year has started well. Let's see if it continues.

Anyway, what are you and Martini doing on an investors thread....you should be over on the wild west traders thread surely?

THE COUNT!

Gausie - 22 May 2006 19:26 - 233 of 968

Sod off count.

I was chatting to my good friend Martini about our mutual friend Christou. What makes you think a wet-behind-the-ears jonny-come-lately amateur young upstart such as yourself can just but in?

But out!

Martini - 22 May 2006 19:33 - 234 of 968

count ... Yer when my mate Gauisie says "but out" you better listen .... he is a one big SOB ya know.

G I will try to get John C's number tonight about time we made contact with the old sod again.

The Count - 22 May 2006 19:35 - 235 of 968

THE COUNT--->GAUSIE

Sorry Mr Gausie, I didn't realise I was interrupting a real man's love in.

I'll stay clear.

You've got 3 grand's worth of stock? Shit, I'm going to have to go out and splash another 2k to catch up....I am not having you owning more than me.

THE COUNT!

The Count - 22 May 2006 19:39 - 236 of 968

THE COUNT--->GAUSIE & MARTINI

Errr, chaps, I think 'but' is spelt 'butt' surely.

Oh, and Martini, less of the 'old sod' if you will, there's a good lad. I'm getting a little sensitive nowadays.

At least Gausie reckons I'm a 'young' upstart...that's a lot more like it.

Anyway, do have a good evening chaps. I'm sure we'll catch up later.

THE COUNT!

Gausie - 22 May 2006 19:40 - 237 of 968

Count - I would never argue with a man with your ethnicity over the spelling of the word 'butt'.

Martini - tried foning him, spoke to his missus. She says he's got an outpatient appointment at the premature ejaculation clinic. Quite serious by all accounts. Apparently it's touch and go.

Pommy - 22 May 2006 19:57 - 238 of 968

Oh my god. Ive just stepped back in time!!!

Pommy - 22 May 2006 19:59 - 239 of 968

You would have thought if the Count knows anything about Medical matters he would be working for the squirty mums of Shite Hart Lane!
Making sure they are well bunged up before the new season starts!!!

and yes i did go to Paris and yes we did lose and yes we were very unlucky and NO WE DIDNT BLAME IT ON THE LOCAL CUISINE!!

Gausie - 22 May 2006 20:14 - 240 of 968

Pommy - stepped back in time? I once made instant coffee in the microwave and had a similar experience.

Kayak - 22 May 2006 20:16 - 241 of 968

All it needs is for the Bear of Dialog to turn up. Anyone for a short?

MightyMicro - 22 May 2006 23:55 - 242 of 968

A short? Mine's a double G&T, thanks Kayak!

greekman - 23 May 2006 08:01 - 243 of 968

For several weeks this thread was relatively quiet. Now it has come to life. Just a pity the more sensible comments are being lost in a sea of none Deltex input.

The Count - 23 May 2006 08:22 - 244 of 968

THE COUNT--->GREEKMAN

Don't worry, there will be plenty of time for more sensible comments. Yesterday was just a bit of light hearted banter by a few people who kow each other and it was in the evening when the market was closed.

There was a bit of shirt pulling going on, that's all. If you read between the lines, you may suss what it was about.
