IQE - Silicon is the future (IQE)

Master RSI - 03 Feb 2003 11:56

IQE is the leading global outsource supplier of customized epitaxial wafers to the semiconductor industry.

Their technology is of most advanced like AFM means Atomic Force Microscopy and moves a minuscule cantilever over an objects surface, a sharp tip passes over dips or rises punched in the surface and reads out digital information. This technology is not going to slow down it is going to speed up and has to replace most existing forms of memory storage by virtue of capacity and size.

The future of nano-technology, these tiny/minute robots would need very small processors and most sure strained silicon could provide these.

The low share price is due to uncertainty as to when the cash will run out, but I don't think this will happen as cash is of 12 to 15M and NAV of 30p, and losses are going to drop on the next 3 month and we could have profits on the Q4 2004.

Latest news from the Chairman were" The Group remains confident that it is in a strong position within the outsourcing market, although the protection of its cash position is paramount.
With a broad product portfolio allowing the customer base to use IQE as a 'one stop shop', a large available production capacity and a strong balance sheet, the Board believes the Group will benefit strongly as the overall semiconductor industry recovers and will continue to strengthen its position as the leading outsource supplier of advanced wafer products to the sector. "

Nearly all the recent results have been encouraging. Q4 accounts are being completed (30th Dec 2002). IQE know where they stand, if things had got worse their would have been a trading statement by now, and with Amberwave (IQE's partner) increasing its Asian presence, this is a bullish trend and a good point to pick up the shares @ 4.25p

I quite agree with Harry. It would be nice to keep personal animosity out of it.

ptholden - 03 Sep 2010 08:34 - 228 of 1520

Chess, it's impossible for mRSI to keep personal animosity out of anything. Question his methods or knowledge and you will receive a barrage of personal abuse. He managed to get himslef banned not so long ago and to be honest if RDG keeps it up I expect he'll self-destruct again soon.

Incidentally, a lot of the TA he posts is very questionable, relying an awful lot on so-called over-sold indicators. Personally, I put him in the same camp as the notorious Sue Helen (Treacle & many other aliases) pump and dumpers.

Master RSI - 03 Sep 2010 11:31 - 235 of 1520

re - personal animosity

only happens when some posters make "stupid comments, twisting the chart ideas or lies on someone else comments" and that is how "ravey" started - the chart - of someone indicating if it carry on the same way as now with time could be 100p the same as it was 2003.

But the STUPID " ravey" is taking about tomorrow being 100p, so that is why I say what I say......... end of story (I allways say the reason why, whish others would be much the same )

re - So its breakout the Bollinger

NO,
Share price going over the BOLLINGER upper BAND, means short term is overbought.

You need to learn a bit of TA

I think I know that - perhaps any form of wit is wasted on you - Bollinger is Champagne my friend - cheers again !!

re - Bollinger is Champagne my friend

"Bolly"

Every wine with bubbles is called sparking wine but if it comes from the Champagne area in France then it can be called >>>> Champagne

the one from the Catalan area is called CAVA, and so on

I am not only a drinker of the bubble stock but a connoisseur of wine with a certificate of "wine and spirits" since I was 25 years old.

Golly - Bolly qualified as well - you are an all around person - just a bit touchy and lacking some sense of humour - I do however, enjoy the depth of your posts - Thanks - and still the SP rises

re - lacking some sense of humour

Well is a dark humor maybe because I was not born around the South west country or the country as a matter of fact.

oak + apples = CIDER

Master RSI - 03 Sep 2010 15:52 - 244 of 1520

What about a CIDER joke then

A mangy redneck youth walks into the kitchen where his mom is fixing the night's dinner.
"Mom, I got a splinter in my finger. Can I have a glass of cider?" asks the slack-jawed youth.

"Are you sure you don't want me to pull it out?"

"No thanks, just the cider."

"Well, sure," responds the youth's mother and gives her boy the cider and watches him trot off contentedly.

About 15 minutes later the boy returns to the kitchen and again asks him mother for a glass of cider.
His mother, not wanting to question his reasoning, gives him another glass and again watches him leave happily.

Ten minutes later the boy returns and once again asks for a glass of cider. The mother complies with
her son's wishes again, but her curiosity has been piqued to the point where she can't resist knowing why any longer.
She wanders into the family room and sees her son sitting in front of the TV with his finger in the glass.

"Why on earth do you have your finger in that glass?" asks the boy's mother.

"Well, mom, I heard sis on the phone say that whenever she had a prick in her hand,
she couldn't wait to get it in cider."
