niceonecyril - 09 Jan 2012 23:55 - 2274 of 5505

You don't seem to getit, these are guys in the kmow, they are prepared to share some of that info.
CJ is the poster who put out the $19m on the table offer?

And now being quoted in the press?

Daily Mail

Gulf Keystone gushed 17.5p to 221p on hefty turnover of almost 19m as revived takeover rumours did the rounds.

The company also rolled out another operational update on their appraisal programme in Kurdistan.

On Shaikan, all wells are apparently doing as expected or better and at Akri-Bijeel despite the dry hole the company remain confident about prospects.

not sure if this will have a particularly adverse effect on sp this morning ......

LONDON, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd :
* Kurdistan regional government ("krg") is a party to the four pscs signed by Gulf Keystone
* Krg has back-in-rights in both the shaikan block and the akri-bijeel block
* Should the krg exercise these rights in full, company's interest in the shaikan will be 51 percent
* Shaikan and akri-bijeel production sharing contracts: option of third party participation
* Third party assignment options held by krg sharing remain valid and exercisable
* After krg has exercised its third party assignment option the respective pscs will be further amended

250p this afternoon..?

cynic - 10 Jan 2012 08:25 - 2282 of 5505

now how does one play it? ..... even at cost, i was quite heavily o'weight and prudently resisted the temptation to pile into even more yesterday ..... does one top-slice at all or just stay for the ride? ..... inclination and downright greed that there is much more to go for pushes me towards the latter option

Balerboy - 10 Jan 2012 08:29 - 2283 of 5505

Another asos cynic.... just don't know but hope not to lose as much this time around.,.

gibby - 10 Jan 2012 08:42 - 2284 of 5505

well despite location would expect some more north coming weeks / months here - but i am keeping in mind that hoil retreated yesterday on the worsening politics out there so have only got what i am comfortable on in here now where as before i went a bit ott, but is still very worhtwhile - gla

gibby - 10 Jan 2012 08:43 - 2285 of 5505

i remember asos baler - gutted had it at sub 50p a few years back - sold and somehow kind oof forgot about them as busy elsewhere - now look at 'em!!!! one of my biggest errors!

required field - 10 Jan 2012 08:48 - 2286 of 5505

Ditto....same for me...

gibby - 10 Jan 2012 08:49 - 2287 of 5505

cynics earlier post ref krg backin rights must be a serious consideration also - perversely it may aid any t/o or make it much more difficult dependent on various parameters in iraq - which is why sinopec best option as apart from their obvious big fat wedge of wonga chinese are more receptive to non std procedures unlike western cos especially in the case of krg - used unserialised notes and brown envelopes springs to mind LOL! gla

niceonecyril - 10 Jan 2012 08:49 - 2288 of 5505

If as suspected Exxon is the BIR partner, todays rise will look tiny imo?

gibby - 10 Jan 2012 08:50 - 2289 of 5505

rf - sorry to hear that but it helps to share the pain of that one!! gl
