RTN RESTAURANT GROUP looking good after breakout. 06 Nov Berenberg Buy 684.50 - 800.00 Initiates/Starts. Quality Company, not cheap on fundies but plenty of momentum behind it. Interim Management Statement Release tomorrow, see how it pans out before buying if interested.

ITV
as suggested by GF, an interesting chart now

One to have a think about the newly created DC. Could be an xmas winner. Lovely uptrend developing.

BRBY Burberry Group.

AS broken out of the horizontal range going back to jan 2014. You can either wait for further confirmation of the breakout or play the 150 point range and go short.

read today's ST
both QPP and (i think) IGas Energy are due for further tumbles tomorrow

Fred1new - 16 Nov 2014 17:46 - 2299 of 2763

I held DC. and made a few pennies.

But before you buy have a look at printed fundies.

I did and sold.

Could be wrong, but there quite a few shares who are trending up on what for me are to high PR and poorer earning promises.

Could be wrong.
======

Must admit took off the table all my S.B. on Friday, but did um and ar a bit and over selling ITV. But PR is 21 and div 4.3p .

A profit is a profit and it felt acceptable.

Perhaps, I jumped a little early.

Hoping for a drop tomorrow or Tues.

I think or hope, that it is tradeable intra-day

But feel this market is directionless.

cynic - 16 Nov 2014 18:14 - 2300 of 2763

i remain of the view that the markets are overdue a sharp correction, but the markets aren't listening to me, at least for now :-)

Fred1new - 16 Nov 2014 20:34 - 2301 of 2763

5-10%

goldfinger - 16 Nov 2014 22:25 - 2302 of 2763

Hope not.

cynic - 17 Nov 2014 13:36 - 2303 of 2763

the key number to watch on dow must be 17,600 - i'll see if that needs fine-tuning later
if it closes sharply through that level, then a true correction may well follow

======

meantime, QPP is moving very nicely in the right direction - due south

Shortie - 17 Nov 2014 16:49 - 2304 of 2763

Cynic are you viewing 17600 as the short term Wall St pivotal point?

goldfinger - 17 Nov 2014 17:02 - 2305 of 2763

Wouldnt say it was red lights on this bull market yet maybe amber. Having said that.....

Going to start adding a few shorts to the folio now. Gone short on BRBY this afternoon doesnt look like breakout is sustainable and they flog a lot of gear in Japan, so that cant help.

Best type of stocks are the PI punter favourites ones tipped in tip sheets where all the lemmings are following each other and the domino effect gives you a quick return.

Cockneys Den epic CR on advfn is a good place to start.

cynic - 17 Nov 2014 18:09 - 2306 of 2763

if you mean what i think you mean, then yes

that said, the initial downside is only small at say 17525 or thereabouts, but then it starts to fall away rather more sharply ... or at least that's what i am told, for i shan't boast of prowess which i do not possess

would you disagree?

Fred1new - 17 Nov 2014 18:13 - 2307 of 2763

Self realisation come late to some!

“Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.”

goldfinger - 17 Nov 2014 18:32 - 2308 of 2763

DOW%2020.jpg

Well there is an up trend channel (floor more or less runs with 200 day EMA) and SP looks to be banging on the ceiling. A movement to the base of the ceiling or SP drop fails at 25 day or 50 day EMA?????.

Very subjective.

MACD is well overbought.

goldfinger - 17 Nov 2014 18:37 - 2309 of 2763

At the moment Id say we are on amber, but things can move very quickly down as you know.

Just hoping we have an xmas rally and then all bets off.

Anyway just sell a few stocks for a balanced folio.

cynic - 17 Nov 2014 18:44 - 2310 of 2763

thanks for that chart :-)
