COMPANY UPDATE

Range Resources Limited ("Range" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the
following updates with respect to the Company's assets. Given the need for
regulatory sign off in Trinidad a more comprehensive update will be provided
next week.

North Chapman Ranch - Texas

Drilling is progressing ahead of schedule on the Company's Smith #2 development
well in North Chapman Ranch. The well is currently drilling ahead at a depth of
approximately 10,500 ft. with Range and its partners having logged a
significant show in the Manley section (at 10,000 ft), possibly representing
another productive interval, in addition to the expected primary field pay
zones. It is expected that the well will reach an intermediate pipe point in
the coming days, at which time it will be logged to this intermediate depth and
9 5/8" casing run before drilling ahead to total well depth of 14,000 ft.

Georgia

Following the completion of the Vertical Seismic Profiling ("VSP") on the
Mukhiani Well, the Company commenced to flow test two zones of interest whilst
waiting for VSP interpretation results. The first test (open hole flow test) at
720m - 768m did not flow as of this morning GMT. The second test (perforation
formation flow test at 330 - 370m) will now be undertaken. The Company will
provide an update as to the VSP interpretation results and second flow test
next week based on current schedules.

The VSP interpretation results will confirm whether or not the current zone of
hard rock that the well has reached is basement rock or a volcanic overthrust.
This current depth is significantly shallower than the initially planned total
depth (of approximately 3,500 m) to the primary objective based on surface
seismic interpretation. If the VSP interpretation confirms the rock encountered
is indeed basement, drilling will not continue with preparations to commence
for the drilling of the second exploration well, the Kursebi 2, while if it
indicates it is a volcanic overthrust, a decision will be made whether to
proceed drilling after reassessing the likely lithography and target potential.

Trinidad

On the basis of recent drilling results, together with extensive engineering
studies of its mature oil fields in Trinidad, Range Resources Ltd is pleased to
announce that it expects to release details of an upward revision of its Proved
(P1) Reserves in Trinidad next week. The revised reserve estimates have been
calculated and the details will be released once the announcement has been
approved by the Trinidadian regulatory authority. The upward revisions follow
better than expected drilling results from the Company's initial 2011 drilling
program, along with recently completed engineering studies of secondary
recovery potential in the Beach Marcelle Block. The engineering review,
performed by the Company's Dallas-based reserve auditor Forrest A. Garb &
Associates, confirmed that significant volumes of crude remain in the Beach
Marcelle field that can be produced using standard secondary recovery
techniques such as water flooding.

Market not impressed for some reason? Maybe Georgia.

pumben - 28 Oct 2011 11:05 - 2324 of 5221

Gerogia defintely, high risk that could be a blow out or is going to lead to a delay. Texas is slow only glimmer of positive is Trinidad but how much of an increase, who knows. When was the last positive RNS from Range ! BTW I hold these so not happy with the price drop, decison time !

gibby - 28 Oct 2011 11:21 - 2325 of 5221

drat - missed the sub 9p opportunity!!! still seems to be slipping back again?

robertalexander - 28 Oct 2011 11:43 - 2326 of 5221

took my money[at a loss] from RMP as one trick pony which may still come good but obviously now much higher risk and thrown caution to the wind and ploughed it [all 300] into RRL as a few more tricks, but still not without risks but if RMP comes good can still reap the benefits and if not should not better the current SP too much. i too missed the sub 9p whilst waiting for my sale to go through and refresh balance to buy RRL. in at 9.44p which helps my ave down to 16.34p but obviously all in vain if everything else flunks too. fingers crossed

Georgia first well looks a duster, but there's always the next well to drill,so they may learn something from the first?, pumben you state Texas is slow??, thats not what the management said, they state they're ahead of schedule!!..And T&T sound positive to...

pumben - 28 Oct 2011 14:26 - 2328 of 5221

Grannyboy, yes I got it wrong regarding Texas !

dreamcatcher - 28 Oct 2011 14:45 - 2329 of 5221

I feel rrl are falling short of market expectations and mine. RRl has the front man Pl
giving all the talk/interviews and the whole operation is not keeping pace with what he is feeding the markets. I think they were looking for a lot more substance in the rns.
Georgia is going one of two ways. TT now we have been promised news next week.
I would think the market was expecting flow rates today. They stated 21 wells this year and again this has fallen behind schedule. We have had the rumours/ games play with puntland and not a mention in the rns. Another big let down, I thought there would be a big update on Puntland. Yes by the talk being put out by the company, the market has huge expectations (after all thats what we look into before we invest
in a company). I am not sitting comfortably as 6 months ago before the drilling started. (of course the sp has dropped from 24p then as well) . Another way of putting things is the cogs are not turning together in rrl. I am not going to sell out,
but could well reduce my holding after the next news. (may be very good).
I have topped up over the last few weeks and now sitting on a very large total for rrl shares. I think rrl has got its problems, thats i feel as honest as i can be.

HARRYCAT - 28 Oct 2011 15:12 - 2330 of 5221

I see you have been doing a lot of retrospective deleting on this board, dc. Your change of stance concerning RRL has presumably triggered that?

dreamcatcher - 28 Oct 2011 15:17 - 2331 of 5221

You know Harry investors have moaned. So taken all the irrelevant chat off

dreamcatcher - 28 Oct 2011 15:29 - 2332 of 5221

No to your question.

HARRYCAT - 28 Oct 2011 15:42 - 2333 of 5221

Let them moan. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so as long as your posts aren't abusive, I would let them stand. There are others who push the limit more than yourself!
Shame about RRL performance. Thankfully I did accept that this was high risk and therefore only have a small stake.

dreamcatcher - 28 Oct 2011 15:48 - 2334 of 5221

I hope investors on this thread can put down their views and if a company does not perform to what it has stated. Is it not better for me to say so. If other investors are pleased with the news then I am pleased for them. Yes my stance of the company will change, as would i hope all investors if a company they have invested in would if they were not totally happy. I hope my views change back with the next news.

dreamcatcher - 28 Oct 2011 15:49 - 2335 of 5221

Thanks Harry. Nothing untoward about removing posts

skinny - 28 Oct 2011 16:08 - 2336 of 5221

DC as Harry says - as long as nothing abusive is posted - then that's life.

I've had some from MRSI and his many pseudonyms on here and elsewhere and from na sdaq (or whatever he was called) berated me for selling half my holding each time it doubled or more.

As long as Dil doesn't start on you - things are ok :-)

grannyboy - 28 Oct 2011 16:34 - 2337 of 5221

I'l be looking for a clear and concise update on T&T next week.. otherwise doubts will start entering my thoughts!!..

dreamcatcher - 28 Oct 2011 16:58 - 2338 of 5221

Thanks skinny. grannyboy, I am down in a lot of the shares i have invested in . Unless you had purchased in the fall over the last few months. Now seeing a lot of them moving up. rrl I have had a lot of patience with and watched all the profit evapourate.
grannyboy, I think it will be a very important update for rrl and for a lot of investors
to decide the future. I feel games play has gone on by rrl/ jv partner. I emailed them and got a yes. Thats why i think there was a enquiry by the ASX in my view for the chat room chat that was going on. Then not a mention in the update. We are not as investors being told enough, and on time. Grannyboy we await the next update on TT.

I half do not look forward to the updates from the company, as you never get the full picture. I speak my mind, am going to email PL at rrl and tell him what i think. I do think a lot of this company. They can listen or not but are going to learn the hard way otherwise.

grannyboy - 28 Oct 2011 18:10 - 2339 of 5221

Agree with what you say dc regarding the vague RNS's just lately, they need to be improved upon, but i'm still confident on Texas and especialy T&T, Georgia is another matter but they're wildcat's, and if the first ones a no-go then hopefully they'l get enough information for when they drill the next??.. Puntland should be spud in the next couple of weeks?!!!..
