GNC Greencore Grp nice to have some defensives food producers in the folio, strong results today should build on gain.

PHNX - mentioned on 4th Nov (post 2285) - gap closed and trying the highs.

goldfinger - 26 Nov 2014 21:32 - 2357 of 2763

TPT Topps Tiles, broken out through a downtrend line after recent strong results. Looking to break horizontal resistance at 122p 130p 136p and with heavy volume it should be able to navigate through these levels.

Trades on a forward P/E to 2016 of 13.2. Benefited from the housing boom of the last few years.

Last night picks going well this morning.

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 11:25 - 2360 of 2763

THT Thorntons.Double Bottom developed. Been accumulating these as I think a repeat of last year could be on the cards.

cynic - 27 Nov 2014 12:56 - 2361 of 2763

i suppose christmas is looming, and though the product is crap, the same could be said of dominos

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 13:08 - 2362 of 2763

Yep but Dominos is near highs THT is coming off lows.

cynic - 27 Nov 2014 13:12 - 2363 of 2763

i was merely making a comment!
shame THT is so thinly traded, but may have a little dabble

have a few DC. too on the basis of christmas trading

hindsight's wonderful, as would then still be holding my QPP short

cynic - 27 Nov 2014 13:15 - 2364 of 2763

btw, DOM up another 14p today

cynic - 27 Nov 2014 13:42 - 2365 of 2763

TW.
just noticed that sp has just broken into new all-time high

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=TW.&Si

Fred1new - 27 Nov 2014 13:44 - 2366 of 2763

Cynic,

Ssssh!

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 14:00 - 2367 of 2763

LOL, yep Ive got a few DC. aswel.

The housing sector usually does well over the XMAS period but is it getting to an overbought point.?

Who was it that put out a profit warning recently.......was it Foxtons? and RMV are having downgrades from brokers.

Mind having said that the sector is proving to be very resilient even if slowing.

cynic - 27 Nov 2014 14:31 - 2368 of 2763

Foxton's and RMV of course are just estate agents so only on the periphery
they're finding life a bit tough because of the tightening of mortgages, but i think the likes of TW. and BDEV have their own in-house schemes

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 14:34 - 2369 of 2763

Wonder if I should BUY Genus GNS.......Beef now that as per todays news up to 70% of chickens are infected with bacteria.

XMAS trade in chickens and Turkeys may get whacked and Beef and Pork may be the winners.

Pork is CWK..........Cranswick now supplying a range of fresh pork, gourmet sausages, premium cooked meats, traditional air-dried bacon, charcuterie and sandwiches to its customers from a number of production facilities in the UK.

GNS...............

CWK

Looks like some have already caught on, on both stocks.

Could just be the beginning though.

goldfinger - 27 Nov 2014 15:00 - 2370 of 2763

Gone long on GNS GENUS, better chart imo and also just found out on twitter they do both beef and pork.

skinny - 27 Nov 2014 16:17 - 2371 of 2763

cynic - TW. has a way to go to the all time high, but its going in the right direction! :-)
