DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

Greed is ok!
Recommended as a buy by Daniel Stewart, target price 0.0041p. Exciting, when compared with the present 0.0017! Yes ok, Daniel Stewart is BIOM joint broker! Ominously, my Stockwatch has BIOM sp showing as nil!

Biome Technologies plc
("Biome" or "the Company")
Contract for RF Technologies Business
Biome Technologies is pleased to announce that its Stanelco RF Technologies division has signed a contract with Durapipe UK to develop a new and innovative portable induction welding system.
This new and innovative portable welding device will work with Durapipe's new plastic pipe system which contains a steel layer and consequently allows induction heating technology to be used. The welding equipment, developed by Stanelco RF, will allow installers in the field to join pipes and fittings quickly, cleanly and without the use of adhesives.
The development contract is expected to lead to a multi-year manufacture and supply contract with Stanelco RF Technologies with first deliveries of the equipment expected to commence in early 2013. Biome Technologies anticipates this project will generate revenues in excess of £2m over a three to four year period.
This new project represents further progress in Biome's stated aim of developing new, premium, innovative lines of profitable international business.
Paul Mines, Chief Executive, commented:
"This exciting project broadens the activities of our Stanelco RF division into a new industry sector and further underpins Biome's strategy. Alongside the progress Biome Bioplastics has delivered over the past 12 months, we remain well placed to deliver value for our shareholders"

Biome Technologies plc
("Biome" or "the Group")
Pre-close Trading Statement
Biome Technologies plc, the bioplastics and RF technology business, is providing a pre-close trading statement for the financial year ended 31 December 2011 ahead of the announcement of the audited Preliminary results.
The Board is pleased to report that it expects the financial performance of Biome for the full year period to be in line with its expectations. Group revenue for the full year exceeded that in 2010 by more than 40% and, as a consequence, a significant reduction in operating loss is anticipated.
In the Bioplastics Division, revenue growth has been encouraging with an increase in revenues across products, applications and geographies. This growth was particularly strong in the first half, with more moderate growth in the second half, due to some market volatility following the easing of previous supply chain constraints. Revenue growth was particularly robust in the wholly owned Biome Bioplastics business as the commercial and technological capability of the team continues to strengthen.
The Stanelco RF Technologies Division saw a further substantial improvement over the course of the year with the continuation of a sizeable fibre optic furnace build programme and additional diversification into new industrial markets.
The Group's cash position at 31 December 2011 was GBP2.4m (30 September 2011: GBP3.0m) and the Group's debt facility of up to GBP2.0m remains unutilised.
As Continental Europe remains a major part of the Group's operations, the Board remains mindful of the wider economic uncertainties that could impact Biome in 2012. However, against this backdrop, incoming order level for the Bioplastics Division is strong and the signing of the previously announced contract between the RF Technologies Division and Durapipe UK provides considerable encouragement for 2012.
The Board feels confident that the Group can continue delivering on its strategy and building a successful business.
The Group expects to publish its Preliminary results for the full year ended 31 December 2011 on 29 March 2012.
