THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

What sort of swine sets off writing an easy to play song and then throws in an Eb and a Cm?
Must have a really sick mind. Me fingers are knotted up like a ball of wet string.

bosley - 14 Nov 2005 14:43 - 2376 of 81564

slow drum beat for alan to practise to

bosley - 14 Nov 2005 14:46 - 2377 of 81564

i thought eb was just 2 fingers? or am i thinking of e minor?

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 14:47 - 2378 of 81564

Eb is a bloody bar chord.

bosley - 14 Nov 2005 14:52 - 2379 of 81564

that's why i'm a drummer..........bar chords are piss easy , anyway.

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 14:54 - 2380 of 81564

Bar chords are piss easy on my Les Paul, but they are a complete bastard on my classical, which is what I've got on my knee now.
Gonna sulk and play "Young Ones", cos its the easiest song in the world, or "Summer of 69" cos I like the song and the title!!!

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 15:00 - 2381 of 81564

What do you play when you're bored, Boz? Keep it clean, I'm refering to drumming!!!

mickeyskint - 14 Nov 2005 15:11 - 2382 of 81564

Any good on the one string fiddle, MS?

mickeyskint - 14 Nov 2005 15:21 - 2384 of 81564

Played Bass guitar for years in various bands. Packed up in 98 but still do the yearly reunion. Got fed up humping all the gear around. Do miss it. Alan have you tried the mouth organ?

No, but the wifes a virtuoso, although I must admit I prefer her duets!!!!

mickeyskint - 14 Nov 2005 15:28 - 2386 of 81564

Great one Alan. It does go a bit rusty if you don't keep it dry and clean.

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 15:31 - 2389 of 81564

Tried allsorts but a couple of weeks off the beer and a course of anti-biotics usually does the trick. Anyway, its always well polished.

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 15:31 - 2390 of 81564

Boz,
I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!!

bosley - 14 Nov 2005 15:33 - 2391 of 81564

funky beats

these are cool. 1st and last on page 2 are buggers.

mickeyskint - 14 Nov 2005 15:33 - 2392 of 81564

I've played some crap in my time the worst has got to be "The Birdie Song" and Viva Espania or how ever you spell it. Backed Bobby Davro once a complete pillock.

Met Bryan Adams in the British Club in Abu Dhabi. Didn't know who the hell he was, I was just talking to the most drunken person I've ever met as he lolloped onto me and almost fell off his bar stool, while dribbling into the bowl of peanuts on the bar.
Suddenly two great huge men in black suits physically picked him up and litterally carried him away. 15 minutes later I saw them push this same guy on stage, and he gave a fantastic concert.
Great musician, but can drink faster than I can breathe!!!

bosley - 14 Nov 2005 15:35 - 2394 of 81564
