Cramer: Why Ebola is behind the sell off
Everett Rosenfeld | @Ev_Rosenfeld
Ebola fears are rattling the U.S. stock market a "huge amount," according to CNBC's Jim Cramer.
While other factors are also at play, Cramer said he thinks worries about the deadly virus are why so many traders are looking to sell equities in recent days.
"We're having a lot of companies report really great quarters and no one cares," Cramer said. "And I think that has a lot to do with Ebola, and less to do with the fact that interest rates went below 2 [percent]."
The "Squawk on the Street" anchor said he watched Wednesday's U.S. market futures take a sharp negative turn as soon as the first reports came out that a second Texas nurse tested positive for the virus.
And while the U.S. government and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention assure the public they can keep the virus under control, Cramer said some traders' fears are not entirely irrational.
"I think that when the government creates some confidence it's not rational," he said. "I think the government has created a lack of confidence in its response."

CNBC , can't you get a better source of information than that? You really are scraping at the bottom of the barrel now.
Half year results out in four weeks and the buyers who got in this morning managed to buy at bargain basement prices.

True but I bet they wish they were still holding stock at 150p and not 107p with further falls on the cards. Averaging down is for whimps anyway and peeps who have too much pride for this business.
What about that weekend story aswel, IS.... JIHADIS planning to infect themselves and then staying as sleepers for 3 week plus only to blow themselves up in airports supermarkets public places etc, etc, and bodily fluids all over the place and the sick barstewards infecting innocents.
Doesnt bear thinking about, truly sick but they say they have an agenda. Wouldnt want to be long of this stock.

Perhaps you had better post that scaremongering story on every share thread on this bulletin board because if that does happen the whole stock market will collapse and you wouldn't want to be long of any stock.

Strange how your ruling out airports. And by the way its not scare mongering. Its fact according to the security forces.
God help anyone who gets caught up in that kind of situation.

It is scaremongering, not facts. Anyone who understands and appreciates the work of the security forces in this country knows perfectly well that they are bound by a strict code of conduct which forbids them from disclosing the exact nature of their work and to break that code would put not only their own lives at risk, but the lives of everyone in this country.

Stop talking stupid.
The security forces brief the press.
We all know they dont give exact precise details, now that would be silly.
Your just in a state of denial as I guess you have most of your portfolio tied up here in one stock.
Should never ever invest/trade with frightened money.

Ebola czar 'may make sense,' President Obama says
President Barack Obama said Thursday night it "may be appropriate" for him to appoint a czar to lead his administration's response to Ebola.

Gf, Obama is flailing around as recent events in America have already shown and there will be more Americans killed by their fellow countrymen running amok with guns than there will be killed by Ebola.
I originally bought into FLYB when the sp was a fraction of what it is now, so I'm sitting on a nice profit. With the half year results due out in four weeks time I see no reason to sell.
I suggest you go off and fish for your crap - or whatever it is you fish for - and stop cluttering up this thread with utter rubbish. The reason you continue to post on here has got nothing to do with FLYB, but is driven by your own self-fulfilling agenda.

Doodlebug, what a pompous little ass you are, take a look at the thread ive been trading these for months both ways. I wont take any lectures from a dim wit like you, lets not forget with your mate Chris Carson you trashed the chart thread overnight. A thread that had existed since Oct 2004. WERE YOU PROUD OF YOURSELF?????
A thread I have had over 50 DMs commenting on your atrocious behaviour.
I suggest you come along with me fishing (and I can arrange it if you like) and Ill feed you to the Carp myself one hand at a time.

smellyfinger - Nobody spoiled your precious thread, you chose to duplicate my posts aimed at you alone on it. When nobody backed you up you threw your dolly out the pram.
As usual on this board but more so on ADVFN (under numerous user names) if anybody has the audacity to disagree with you, you start this nonsense.

Such are the concerns about the spread of Ebola that President Obama raised the possibility on Thursday that he might appoint an “Ebola czar” to manage the government’s response.
Schools were closed in two states, hospitals and airlines kept employees home from work, and Americans debated how much they should worry about a disease that has captured national attention but has so far produced only three known cases in Dallas.
