What a great RNS, 2.5 times oversubscribed, directors buying and taking shares in leau of salary. Looking at the directors holding's, can only give one confidence in this company.
We have 2 superb assets in West Medvedhye and Kemerkol along with a
outsider in Tamdykol.
West Medvedhye
Half a trillion cf/gas with potential of 2.3 trillion, This for the 1st well 104. A fair value was given for 75% of 3, management confident enough to increase to 100%.So fair value becomes 4 and that for 1/2 trillion cfg. Wells 103/106 to
be drilled in the not to distant future(Q1) could increase that amount quite considerably, and lets not forget the CONDENSATE(much more valuable) which has been estimated to be as much as 200m/barrels.
Kemerkol With reserves of up to 60mboe where rework on 2 shut in wells,
should soon give us production and confirm the reserves.
Tamdykol 38mboe possible/potential is at this moment almost a wild card, but
the local contractor is willing to continue funding a extended drilling program,
can only suggest that theres oil there, finding it and getting it out of the ground
might only be a matter of time?
To recap todays RNS, i would be surprised if short term gain against the overall
picture won the day.The real gains will come sometime around June when the
results of Wells 103 and 106 are known, and for that reason most will hold.
imho

Have a look at EME. It has 10 times the gas that VOG has and is only 1 tenth of the market cap. That suggests that the market is placing a 100 to 1 chance of them getting the gas out of the ground! At least, that would be the case if production from VOG is a certainty, which it isn't!

Thank you cellby, a truely great day, with considerable upside to come?
tallsii, thought about starting a thread on EME, might still?
BUT NO, THEY DO NOT HAVE 10 TIMES THE GAS OF "VOG"
What they have is a site in Germany, just outside Frankfurt where they are drilling
at this present time into antracite coal seams, to test the seal (checking if the gas has been trapped in place). Granted the potential (1/6Trillioncf/gas)is far in excess of VOG and a much safer area to invest, and bringing far better prices for the gas.
They also have a far lower risk site in California Eagle Well 1, which more than justifies the market capital of 10.73m. Well worth a punt, but it will tank if the German field fails,so my advice is have a small stake hoping for a positive result.
But still a good tip tallsiii.

Amities../ d'accord completement Slt !! niceonecyril . lntrigued by BP 'S 7 billion investment in this area of Western Siberia where Gazpom rules supreme l have always taken a keen interest in VOG which as i have already stated appeared morelike a bolt on aquisition to Gazpom as opposed to an autonomous operator. Contrary to common belief the world of both drilling and mining is a small family .And i dont think an Ex Vice Prez of Yukos in hard nosed Bob Kelleher would have spent many years in the Russias without making a friend or two .lts not what you know etc etc . .l currently have 8% of my funds ( 90.000} locked in for the medium term . l have studiously scrutinized trades .Rather like reading cards and very crudely deduced as to where the vast concentration of players are holding and where others have bailed out . .. But todays trading hardly warranted such a percentile gain . Did it ? As a trader that worries me . Chartists and Fundementalists will both be anticipating retraction as inevitable due to percentage players banking profit . lt invites shorters by the busload. and invites mms to offer a poor spread and shake the trees at will ..But what if it failed to work out quite like that ? And the bulls carried the day once again .And that could so EASILY happen in my humble opinion . The first few hours of trading tuesday should be interesting . . Sitting presently on a handsome profit l am not complaining - obviously- but l would perhaps have preffered a slower solid momentum in the s/p - buiding and consolidating -- and culminating in the clarification of what gas pay lies trapped; and what percentage can be extracted ....But you cant have your cake and eat it ? ..Finally "D and M " are every bit as reputable, expeirienced and reliable as the English Woods and Mckenzie -upon whose assayal Lord Browne and the BP board decided to abandon the North sea...l think we are up to approx Round 22 in the sales . As for VOG l would have preffered the likes of Woods and Mckenzie to be honest and put this one away to bed once and for all . ....@+ J.
