Elsewhere in the sector, Range Resources (LON:RRL, ASX:RRS) said a step-out well in Trinidad is flowing 50 bopd - exceeding the firm's targeted rate of 15-30 bopd.

The QUN116ST well hit around 66 feet of net pay before it was completed for production, the firm said in an update on international operations.

The forecast increase to between 1,400 and1,800 bopd from existing wells and the current 21 well program in Trinidad is well on target, said Range.

"The scheduled completion of the 21 well programme has been moved to Q1 2012 with 10 wells expected to be completed by year end."
