7.8 billion tons of sub bitumous coal in situ.
Progress in a bankable feasibility study, to produce 10 million barrels CTL per year, with a 560 MW co-generation power facility, based in the 100% owned licence for the Arckaringa project in South Australia.
The 3 licences held by Altona are in the Permian Arckaringa Basin and are located close to rail and road links.

Project Base Case, 10million tons coal, CTL producing 10 million barrels of zero sulphur diesel fuel, and 560mw power for export pa.

Altona seem to manage to do things on time and to schedule, which is always encouraging. Looks to me like a good long-term hold.

Hi Toya. Yesterday all trades went through brokers, today could have some positive gains, with plenty of opportunities to top up along the way.

Hi Oily - I don't hold these as yet, but have been keeping on my watchlist. I remember they held their AGM same day as BRR, and they more or less share UK premises.

This year, they should both be well worth attending back to back. Followed by lunch and a bit of shopping.

Toya, are you in yet. Wrangling between Homeland, a major investor and Altona over the chinese. Some are suggesting a posible bidding war. Either way ANR is going up at the mo.

This ones caught my attention.

Started buying today, as my good friend would say, it is a pure punt, not because i think it won't bring big rewards, it's just that i find it hard to value the business. NAV is supposedly 26p and broker targets range from 44p upto 100p. What really takes my fancy is that deal they signed with China's largest state run oil co, now that is not to be sniffed at and for that reason, "I'M IN".
