BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

miva looks dead - see rns a couple of days ago ...... t/o of BLNX would be jubbly time as i am somewhat overweight in these considering it is such a minnow and times are so dodgy

Still Waiting - 08 Oct 2008 21:57 - 241 of 6187

lots of heavyweights have partnered/ have contacts with blnx.

yahoo, newscorp, BBC, ITV to mention a few, if a bid approach is made I'm sure a few others will be flushed out.

those co's with cash are king at the moment, I'm sure the fastest video search engine and best monetizer in the business will not have gone unnoticed to those with spare cash to spend.

an opportunistic bid could come when the markets are down, blnx tried for miva!!!

moneyplus - 09 Oct 2008 11:16 - 242 of 6187

BLNX has held up reasonably well considering the carnage! I too am somewhat overweight in these but I do have confidence long term, I think they could be another AU. and I sure wish I'd kept those! ---and if cynic is holding say no more he seems to do quite well!

dealerdear - 09 Oct 2008 11:26 - 243 of 6187

Long term prospects maybe but with the total lack of liquidity I see 10p as a short term target unless the SM starts to turn around.

I've been caught long in many good AIM stocks that are plummeting and see no reason why this should be different.

If we have a strong rally then probably it will rise with the market.

good luck anyway.

cynic - 09 Oct 2008 11:53 - 244 of 6187

cynic has recently done exceptional well at doing his bollocks, but i know that many others have too ...... had he taken his own advice about shorting a couple of stocks i know ASOS was one) then things would have been much better ..... that said, i have called HBOS pretty much correctly, scary ride though that was, and also IEC which, even with today's rise, looks to have close to 200p upside, or 150 if you wsant to be conservative

moneyplus - 09 Oct 2008 12:44 - 245 of 6187

Late buy of 500k after hours yesterday so someone is buying large chunks and has confidence.

chessplayer - 09 Oct 2008 13:00 - 246 of 6187

Confidence is of course the key thing!
Either you are a believer or you're not.I don't see anything to suggest that Blinkx won't be a big winner. The fact that it has not already taken off can only be ascribed to the current turmoil.

Still Waiting - 09 Oct 2008 19:01 - 247 of 6187

more confident about this share than I have been with others for a very long time.

I've actually starting tipping it now. kiss of death I know.

long term gem here.

moneyplus - 09 Oct 2008 20:05 - 248 of 6187

chessplayer the city boys/fund managers I've spoken too don't understand what this co. does and dismiss it as "crap". Any techie person is totally convinced it will rival google or be bought out and there are loads on the other side putting in hours of research to show it's rapid growth---they almost smell a new contract before it's announced. We need exciting results to make the city take blnx seriously and we can guess they have money to spare by the cash offer for miva---meanwhile towards the end of October we should know. I'm adding as and when I can as I'm with the techies!! would recommend DYOR using th other side as well.

There seems to be a marked change at the mo. in the way that the MMs' are pricing the stock.Until recently ,the stock went down despite a big majority in favour of the buyers.
Lately though, this has reversed, but there is a reluctance to send it further down.

cynic - 10 Oct 2008 09:12 - 251 of 6187

that is why i have hung on to these while selling most of rest of portfolio

chessplayer - 10 Oct 2008 09:32 - 252 of 6187

The way I see it ,Cynic, the internet revolution, like it or not, will continue to go from strength to strength.A market crash is only a hiccup along the way,but will not slow down the enormous revenues that it will continue to generate. The task for us,the investor ,is to spot the winners at an early stage.

Still Waiting - 10 Oct 2008 12:47 - 253 of 6187

with possible new product launches next week the stock is looking strong despite all the selling.

when the market steadies a bit we should be on our way again, we won't have many sellers once the rise starts.

chessplayer - 10 Oct 2008 16:31 - 254 of 6187

Figure this one out:
75% of 2,000,000 shares traded are sells,BUT up 0.25pts! at close

cynic - 10 Oct 2008 20:22 - 255 of 6187

don't care why the illogicality, but merely glad to see BLNX holding up against the trend

moneyplus - 10 Oct 2008 20:38 - 256 of 6187

only bit of cheer out there for me today!

Still Waiting - 11 Oct 2008 16:33 - 257 of 6187

last week's strength would indicate someone is buying big.

I'm going to dump a few laggards next week and have another top up, news is due anytime.

cynic - 16 Oct 2008 10:52 - 259 of 6187

BLNX remarkably chirpy all of a sudden, especially in this twitchy and fraigle market ..... it may be just a blip, but currently 23.25 bid after 21.25 earlier
