Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

STORMCALLER - 18 Mar 2005 23:21 - 2426 of 24230

You are not wrong there, good job there's enough for a refill, would be rude to let you drink alone, so I'd better have some more..:-)
Cheers!

optomistic - 18 Mar 2005 23:26 - 2427 of 24230

Always is enough for a refill in here :-) How's the trading doing?

STORMCALLER - 18 Mar 2005 23:34 - 2428 of 24230

This year has been good for real shares up until last couple of weeks, had a good kicking! Margin stuff which I am new to has proved difficult, but real buzz, too many silly mistakes, but hopefully I am learning, time will tell.
What about you, earlier comment says a bit down?

optomistic - 18 Mar 2005 23:44 - 2429 of 24230

I'm more of a term holder than 'margin' etc trading. never got my head round all that, seems to complicated and risky for me. Had some good gains this year but holding some losers right now.....hoping for that bit of magic to happen to put things right :-)

STORMCALLER - 18 Mar 2005 23:52 - 2430 of 24230

The risk element is there sure enough, and it doesn't suit everyone, but I felt I had to give it a try, and expected losses initially as it is a very different arena. Still holding shares as well, though trying to do both has been a bit of a stress, as have hardware problems, hopefully now fixed! Together with a couple of things I mentioned to you before that lot has kept me away, and very busy, for a while!
Must try to balance things a little better, which leads me naturally to...room for a refill, as you observed, lots more fizz left yet...lol

optomistic - 19 Mar 2005 00:01 - 2431 of 24230

I would think for that kind of trading a mentor would be usefull, preferably on hand for regular guidance. As to hardware problems that is always a possibility in the background, sometimes I think a second standby unit would be very useful. I have a second PC but is a bit old and lacks some neccessary bits inside. Someone was coming to fit it up for me but not managed it yet.
Now the next slurp will have to be the last tonight, someone is saying I live on the PC :-))

STORMCALLER - 19 Mar 2005 00:07 - 2432 of 24230

A mentor would be great, preferably in the room 24/7!! Agree about backup, which I don't have...oops, lack of space is a bit of a problem on that score.
Anyway, as it's your last slurp, cheers, good luck, and here's to a good weekend!

optomistic - 19 Mar 2005 00:11 - 2433 of 24230

Cheers Stormy, good to see you again, enjoy your weekend. Must go now so goodnight.

STORMCALLER - 19 Mar 2005 00:12 - 2434 of 24230

Socrates - 19 Mar 2005 07:45 - 2436 of 24230

Good morning all.

Cheltenham now back to a quiet regency town, all the racegoers gone home. Peace reigns again. I need a good breakfast, I think I'll start with a double banana split.

Spaceman - 19 Mar 2005 08:38 - 2437 of 24230

Double banana split! interesting breakfast,

I think I will go for double sausage, double bacon, double egg, tomatoes and 2 toast plus a mug of tea.

Socrates - 19 Mar 2005 09:44 - 2438 of 24230

Spaceman
The BS was only a starter, the FEB as you describe is the main course, followed by toast and marmalade.

jeffmack - 19 Mar 2005 15:04 - 2439 of 24230

Opto
Just about, luckily a winner Thursday cushioned the blow.

optomistic - 19 Mar 2005 15:59 - 2443 of 24230

Well done Jeff, a nice day or two out and not too much out of pocket that's good going.

jeffmack - 19 Mar 2005 17:17 - 2444 of 24230

Just covered my Cheltenham losses on the rugby. Before last weekend I bet with two Irish boys Wales V Ireland for the 6 nations at 300 each.

This_is_me - 20 Mar 2005 00:39 - 2445 of 24230

A man's work is never done! I had to spend the day in the garden. We had the first BBQ of the year. I am still baffled as to why women can't cook on a BBQ and leave it to us men.
