Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

rdg - our mutual dislike is mutual, but hayseed is blinded by prejudice (slightly different from arrogance) as he even admits on the gaza thread ... do not expect objective judgment from him, because he is incapable of same

for myself, i post about stocks i like, and others i dislike, and change my mind on some, and tell of my disasters (which few do)

Haystack - 22 Aug 2010 15:37 - 2439 of 6187

rdg
It would be interesting for you to show a list of stocks that I have been bearish about. It doubt that it would be very long.

cynic - 22 Aug 2010 15:38 - 2440 of 6187

but longer than the one you could post on stocks that you rate, it would seem

Haystack - 22 Aug 2010 15:41 - 2441 of 6187

I have already said that I rarely post on stock that I like. It is bound to be a longer list.

cynic - 22 Aug 2010 16:30 - 2442 of 6187

as on gaza, a one-eyed dog ... and of course the obvious question is which stocks have you currently shorted, or even which ones in say the last 3 months?

chessplayer - 22 Aug 2010 19:38 - 2443 of 6187

Cynic,
That is precisely my point,I have yet to meet anybody who says'
"There is the great oak,it was once a little seedling!!"
Haystack
I for the life of me cannot understand how anyone can dislike a stock that is up 400% in a very a few months. The only thing to dislike would be if one fails to buy that stock.
My advice to such a person would be " See a Trick Cyclist .Sooner rather than later." The alternative would be to proclaim " Hooray , I am ignorant"
At the moment, it would appear to me that you would prefer the second option!!

Haystack - 22 Aug 2010 20:53 - 2444 of 6187

I am happy for the people who bought the stock. My opinion is of the business, which is that is does not deserve its share price. That is not to say I think it is over valued. I think that it even has a value is surprising.

tabasco - 22 Aug 2010 22:10 - 2445 of 6187

Haystack...I am also very happy for the people that own this stock...the demand is such that the price can only go up in accordance...for you to say it is surprising that blnx has any value would suggest that your Mother caught your head in a blender at a very young age...I would say it was on No8 at the time? ...you said... I don't think Gausie disagrees with my view of Blinkxs. He is just long at the moment....so lets get this straight...you believe blnx is worthless...you believe Gausie agrees with you...and Gausie has just punted long......Mad as a bag of marbles!!!

Haystack - 22 Aug 2010 22:29 - 2446 of 6187

Money can often be made from rubbish companies. A rising shatre price is not a sign of a company that has any real worth. It is just a market valuation. When Blinkx starts to show signs of falinng then I expect Gausie will short it.

cynic - 23 Aug 2010 07:42 - 2447 of 6187

so tell us all "one-eyed dog hayseed", which stocks have you currently shorted and which in say the last 3 months in which you have already encashed your profit or loss?

i asked the same a couple of posts back, but perhaps your one good eye failed to notice

tabasco - 23 Aug 2010 07:58 - 2448 of 6187

Cynic.Haystack is extremely sick with talkingbollocksaintgotananswer syndromeit affects very few peopleI believe Homer Jay Simpson is a sufferer?

cynic - 23 Aug 2010 07:59 - 2449 of 6187

he must have caught it from me!

cynic - 23 Aug 2010 09:35 - 2450 of 6187

"one-eyed dog hayseed" is also known as "Bulls-eye" to his remaining 2 friends, in memory of Bill Sikes's dog in Oliver Twist, and due to his unerring accuracy in picking out losers ..... seemingly he knows no winners

chessplayer - 23 Aug 2010 09:50 - 2451 of 6187

Aren't you boys being a bit hard on poor old Hayatack?
With all this rain the straw must be a getting a wee bit waterlogged.

tabasco - 23 Aug 2010 10:08 - 2452 of 6187

Gausie still loves him?

cynic - 23 Aug 2010 10:41 - 2453 of 6187

it's clearly rusted his typing fingers, for else i am sure he would have told us about all the stocks he has shorted - perhaps he's too busy scouring m/e press for more objective reporting on gaza

aldwickk - 23 Aug 2010 11:03 - 2454 of 6187

chessplayer

Voted one of the worse jokes at the Fringe this year.

"I like to play chess with bald men in the park although it's hard to find 32 of them."

chessplayer - 23 Aug 2010 12:07 - 2455 of 6187

If you keep the pressure up,there is an outside chance that he might not be back. What a loss that would be!

tabasco - 23 Aug 2010 13:54 - 2456 of 6187

Looks like another take off

Gausie - 23 Aug 2010 17:09 - 2457 of 6187

Awwwwe batty - why did you go and put the curse on it?
