Energy Technique - Will this be one of the next growth stock. (ETQ)

Legins - 02 Sep 2003 17:45

Could ETQ's share price be soon to benefit from their developments with the new UVGI Nightingale Mobile Air Filtration Product.

New UVGI air filtration product

In November 2002, the ETQ announced its new Nightingale UVGI air filtration product, to be produced by a new joint-venture company, UVGI Systems Limited, owned 55% by the Group and 45% by Suvair Limited. This rapid response mobile air filtration unit is capable of killing the MRSA super bug and other airborne pathogens.

The UVGI unit has widespread application where there is need to keep
air free of dangerous live bacteria, viruses, and fungal spores, including
hospitals, schools, cruise liners, aircraft, food processing, and military
applications.

The UVGI unit uses a high intensity Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation ('UVGI')
filter, which has been designed to control harmful and dangerous airborne
pathogens, such as Anthrax, Tuberculosis, and Staphylococcus aureus, the
causative agent in MRSA. The filtration system is combined with use of high
intensity Ultra Violet light, which inactivates micro organisms by disrupting
their DNA structure.

Tests of a prototype at the Defence Science Technology Laboratory ('Dstl') at
Porton Down, the centre for excellence for the Ministry of Defence, showed that
the UVGI unit captured and/or destroyed more than 99.9% of Bacillus subtilis
spores, a simulant for Anthrax bacteria.

Since November, second generation units have been developed, which will go on
applications testing at an NHS Trust Hospital in December 2003, following
building completion of its new haematology unit. It is also anticipated the
UVGI unit will shortly go on laboratory testing in the United States with
contractors nominated by the Department of Homeland Security.

Concern seems to be hotting up on the T.V. news that the MRSA super bug is still killing and disabling people visiting or as patients in NH Trust hospitals. It would be surprising if NH Trust hospital do not notice and Buy this product before they get to many expensive law suits for compensation claims.

Definitely a stock that could soon be heading north. Worth buying in but DYOR

Woodie,

I think some discussions are underway already, these would certainly happen in parallel with trials.

The Health Commission that was mentioned in the RNS was September 1st meeting at Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. The Newton Aycliffe forum has been organised by the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health, an independent public body sponsored by the Department of Health. Its forums - run independently of the DoH, are intended to bring local needs into policy making agendas.

Energy Technique Managing Director Leigh Stimpson said: "This marks a welcome advance in our efforts to make contact with influential opinion formers and decision makers within the NHS."

Mr Stimpson added: "We are especially pleased to be able to talk to members of
the public - the growing threat of MRSA in our hospitals is an issue that
affects everybody."

-------------------------

What will be important for energy tecnique is public knowledge and opinion..we all are aware how public pressure can often drive decisions ( positively or negatively) and this may force the hand, so to speak, of the NHS and other health bodies. I am sure that there maybe even more pressure from private patients towards BUPA and the like.

Hi Woodie, I think the main meeting point in on the 1st of September (see below) :

The company will tell NHS chiefs and members of the public how Nightingale has
been shown to be 99.8% effective by the Health Protection Agency at Porton Down,
Wiltshire.

The invitation to address the September 1st meeting at Newton Aycliffe, County
Durham, comes as Energy Technique continues discussions to sell Nightingale
units into the National Health Service.

Energy Technique Managing Director Leigh Stimpson said: "This marks a welcome
advance in our efforts to make contact with influential opinion formers and
decision makers within the NHS."

WINS have moved up on the bid as reflected with the tick up on the bid to 6.50 pence on barely any buys. Well the bid price did tick down on barely any sells as well. As I say they do keep moving the bid price around, as always with this stock you get a better indication with what the offer price is at.

Level 2 : 1 v 3

whats the price expectancy on this short term

SueHelen - 09 Aug 2004 15:24 - 249 of 497

MMs really teasing us with the bid price today, bought another 62,902 shares at 6.94 pence just now (3rd batch, first at 4.95 pence, then at 6.55 pence and now at 6.94 pence). Buys outweigh Sells today with barely any sells of any significance.

SueHelen - 09 Aug 2004 16:16 - 250 of 497

250,000 T BUY reported at 7.00 pence (someone had order in to purchase 250,000 shares at 7.00 pence).

SueHelen - 09 Aug 2004 16:20 - 251 of 497

Another 250K T buy has come through at 7.00 pence four minutes after the first one.

That's the third large buy today : 180,000 odd buy first thing this morning and again any sells have been 100K or less today.

Hi thesaurus, I wouldn't like answer that question as it stirs trouble on the bulletin boards. I mostly buy oversold shares that have fallen from dizzy heights which show potential, and ETQ fits into that category.

drunker50 - 09 Aug 2004 21:21 - 253 of 497

etq have rigged out the houses of parliment with nightingale, i think this is a good endorsement for the product

Hi Sue Helen & fellow investors, thanks for the excellent posts you are all contributing to this thread but especially to Sue who I'm learning from and understanding more about L2.

I have been a shareholder in ETQ since this thread was created and at present showing a loss but have viewed my initial investment to be long term. I am now adding as the TA indicators are very bullish particularly as MACD is staying above O and RSI(14) is above 50 and indicates that the share price will rise for a while to come. Once this share gets above 10.52 I'll be happy once again, and given all the hard work ETQ has and is doing to win orders for Nightingale since creating this thread I believe now this is all about to come to fruition.

The next six months should be giving out some very good sales news when the NHS realise that MRSA found in hospitals and infecting patients from surgical wounds were once or could have become airbourne. Sanitised air in these areas seems an immediate solution to an alarming problem the NHS and other private hospitals and their insurers have!

Large buy reported just now for 231,874 shares at 6.99 pence from an hour ago when the offer price was at 7.00 pence. 3 * 100K buys have also come through today after the attempted treeshake first thing this morning. Buyers having the upperhand again.

Level 2 is stable at 2 v 2, WINS and SCAP on the bid at 6.50 pence.

Global Nomad - 10 Aug 2004 13:29 - 260 of 497

Drunker

You just dropped in a simple line about etq and houses of parliament, where did this come from? Havn't seen anything about that, surely thats the sort of info which would be v.important.

Dont forget ETQ installs 'normal' AC systems as well......

Please expand on this

cheers

drunker50 - 10 Aug 2004 13:42 - 261 of 497

not sure were i read it but it was one of the reasons i bought this stock a couple of mths ago, i read that they had it installed to counter sars and other possible attacks

middleman - 10 Aug 2004 14:02 - 262 of 497

ETQ have installed air con, not UVGI, in the HP. This has nothing to do with SARS. Don't you think that if they had put a UVGI unit into the HP for SARS, the papers would be crawling all over it?

SueHelen - 10 Aug 2004 14:25 - 263 of 497

Tick up on the bid price to 6.75 pence....WINS moved up on the bid to 6.75 pence. Level 2 at 1 v 2.
Watch out for any more big buys that come through later on....had 3 yesterday. 2 in the afternoon towards close and 1 in the morning.
WINS are the ones who I believe filled the big buy orders yesterday and the large buy of around 230,000 shares at 7.00 pence this morning as well.
