Xcite Energy (LON:XEL) finally broke out of the 105 resistance today, pushing 6.5% better to 111p on decent volume. 120p looks to be the next line of resistance to watch for here, and the previous resistance at 105p to 107p could now act as a support line.

They view a 20% return as good ( wish I could get an interest rate for savings of 20% and thats for a year) they have a return of 20% IN WEEKS. Then finance a new operation, in and out while the goings good. The rest of their funds may sit in for 30,40,50% or more, before another topslice.

The thing is that the higher brent and the heavy stuff goes the more economical it is for the likes of Xcite....hence the sp surge...and I imagine that things are moving within this company with little fuss....

Xcite Energy (LON:XEL) was the most popular search on google finance UK today and its shares were up over 10 per cent in morning trade. Excitement has been building around the company as it moves towards the first development well at Bentley in the North Sea. Today, the company said it was hosting a site visit for media and analysts to the Rowan Norway Jack-up Rig currently moored in Dundee, ahead of its deployment to the field. As at 10.33, Xcite shares stood up 10.77 per cent, to change hands at 144 pence each. The firm was also one of the most actively discussed stocks on today's bulletin boards. This month, the firm told investors that the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) had confirmed its support for the group’s revised field development plan. And it said it would get the regulatory green-light to start phase 1 of the oilfield development in the near future. Last Friday, it completed the second part of its £25.5 million private placing.
