Should be a rise on the cards here with all this gas they are pumping....the only worry is : future restrictions towards Russia....that is a problem....

AK0000 - 08 Apr 2014 08:35 - 2466 of 2511

If you look at the current price, I think Russian asset have been completely discounted here. Value zero.
I think they have done well to turn around business in very difficult period and did not give up after VOG was screwed on the Russian deal. If they made 9 m.... Increasing production, charging premium to current market price and the only supplier in the country ??? Well done to the board

Dil - 10 Apr 2014 08:55 - 2467 of 2511

Victoria Oil & Gas said its operating subsidiary, Gaz du Cameroun S.A. (GDC), has connected three gas-fired Gensets at three customer sites located in Douala, Cameroon: Camlait (dairy), Icrafon (plastic moldings) and SCTB (flour mill).

The remaining three Gensets located at the Guinness Brewery are all installed and connected to the GDC gas supply network.

The Gensets at the Guinness Brewery are expected to be brought online soon following a production tie-in period. The Company is also currently scheduled to connect a customer-owned Genset which has arrived in Douala at its site later this year.

The combined capacity of the six Gensets is 9MW.

Under expected power useage, average gas consumption for these customers is anticipated to be about 0.75mmscf/d, with the installations replacing all grid power supply at customer sites.

The benefits of GDC Gensets to customers are consistent supply of power with a stable load, hence no outages and consequent downtime costs and material wastage. It also provides a cost saving to that of the grid price.

Pilot Borehole Completed Under Wouri River for Bonaberi Gas Supply

VOG, the emerging Cameroon utility company, announces that drilling of a 678m single shot pilot borehole was completed under the Wouri River to Bonaberi in Douala, Cameroon on 31 July 2014. Once the borehole is reamed out and all pipework connected and tested, this extension will open a new market for Gaz du Cameroun, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Company("GDC"). Eleven Gas Supply Agreements ("GSAs") have been signed to date with Bonaberi customers and others are under negotiation.

The drilling was undertaken by contractors Britanica HDD International ("Britanica") under the supervision of GDC staff. This is the first time a horizontal borehole has been drilled for these purposes under a major river in Cameroon. The pilot borehole, some 250 mm in diameter will be progressively reamed out to enable the pulling through of 400mm pipe. This pipe will then be connected to the existing Douala network and the new Bonaberi network, therefore linking two major gas markets.

The operation undertaken by Britanica involved drilling the pilot borehole from the Chantier Naval area and exiting in the Magzi area of Bonaberi. The maximum depth of the borehole below the Wouri River bed was 13 metres.

On the Bonaberi side, the first phase of pipeline planned is 1.5km. To date, 860 metres of 400mm pipeline and 1129 metres of spur lines have been laid. GDC and Britanica are now working to connect the first thermal customers to the Bonaberi network. GDC also continues to work on customer connections on the Douala city side of the river.

Chairman Kevin Foo, said: "The completion of the pilot borehole under the Wouri River is a major milestone for the company and a credit to our contractors Britanica and the GDC team. Once drilling is completed and the pipeline hooked up we can then deliver first gas to Bonaberi customers."

Victoria Oil & Gas said the Wouri River crossing will now be delayed by about 4-6 weeks. The remedial cost for this work will be the responsibility of drilling contractor Britanica Horizontal Directional Drilling Ltd.

Equipment problems experienced by Britanica during the final pipe pull under the Wouri River led to a decision to restart the pipe insertion and pull.

In addition to the river crossing, a second Britanica team, using a smaller horizontal directional drilling machine, will be laying 400m of pipe into the Magzi Estate and finalising the connection from the main line to the river crossing entry point.

These ancillary works are expected to be completed around the same time as the river crossing and accordingly, once the river crossing is complete, the first 3 customers at Magzi Estate are expected to commence consumption of gas.

Victoria Oil & Gas said 678 metres of gas pipe has successfully been laid under the Wouri River to the northern Bonaberi shore in Douala, Cameroon's major industrial city.

The laying of the 400mm pipe under the Wouri River extends the reach of the Gaz du Cameroun (GDC) gas supply network to a new industrial customer hub within Douala. To date, GDC has laid 860 metres of 400mm pipeline and 1,129 metres of branch spurs in the Bonaberi-Magzi Estate area.

This network will shortly be connected to the main pipeline, commissioned and ready to supply gas to new customers, following safety checks and flow testing.

Following this extension to the network, there are now three customers with signed gas supply agreements in place.

GDC, working ahead of the pipe-laying under the river, has already converted burners and completed downstream engineering work to these thermal customers so that they are now ready to be supplied with gas, increasing daily gas consumption levels and GDC's revenues.
