Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

because Mr P, it seems to me that this wonderful eldorado you paint so begulingly is all wishful thinking at this juncture - aka a load of bollocks until proven otherwise .... perhaps you take us all to be idiots, when just just maybe you should be looking in the mirror

cynic, yes I could take you for an idiot for claiming how you sold at 90p and it was so overvalued only later to then post you brought back in and then sold higher as it was again so overvalued and then how you got back in again and so on and so forth.
You have had no idea how to value this and have missed on on the big gains due to your constant buying and selling and posting so, this thread is littered with it.
If you cannot value the company (as its has been proven by your ill timed selling) then please, do not have a go at those who potentially can, and those who have been correct all along so far, even to the calling of Ernest to be a failure, which I said it would be before they started drilling :P
Now, take the words of Sam and "regional seal" and "new fairway" into this pic of some of the RKH prospects around Sea Lion........

Flow Test Update - Sea Lion 14/10-2 discovery well
Rockhopper Exploration plc (AIM: RKH), the North Falkland Basin oil and gas exploration company, announces that the Ocean Guardian drilling rig is at the location of the Sea Lion 14/10-2 discovery well and that operations to carry out a flow test on the Sea Lion main and lower fans are underway.
While testing operations can be more sensitive to weather conditions than standard drilling operations, the Company anticipates that operations will be completed in approximately 30 days. A further announcement will be made on completion of operations.

i always thought i was a pig ignorant imbecile so it's good to have it confirmed by God's own envoy .... however, unless God's own envoy has trawled diligently through all the zillions of posts on this thread - perhaps he has a special filing system instead - i strongly suspect that much of what he writes about me is as much a load of bollocks as his pretence (oh alright, wishful thinking then) that what may be possible in RKH's holdings is actuality.
meanwhile, i am more than happy to have banked profits along the way, and equally happy to be currently holding an o'weight position .... perhaps this ignorant pig isn't so stupid after all

Cynic, I have been noting down a mental list from early days who has been "selling and why" and who is "buying and why".
It allows for an objective view of their "posts" and opinions on this company.
If a person was screaming its too high at 90p and selling and its overvalued, then how can this same person have a future objective view when they claim to have bought back in after the next rise upwards, only to say its overvalued and too high and they have sold again (before the next rise upwards where they claim to be "back in again").
I have consistently said since 38p I was holding, for the long term, not selling and expect very large gains. I still have not sold any and I have purchased even more along the way up.
I still am not selling and I still expect very large gains to come.
A good flow test, move to main market, fund raising for 2011 campaign and some success in 2011 and we could see a price of 2500p to 3000p a share for this company based on nearly a billion barrels recoverable in the bag.
As much as I was correct to hold from 38p to now, I expect in the coming 18 months to be correct in holding from todays 315p to ...... well, whatever it is in 18 months time.
:@)

God's own envoy - having derided this company and FI in general initially, i was eventually persuaded otherwise by marky and have followed ever since .... from memory, i originally bought in at 60p or thereabouts and have held and traded ever since.
marky talks considerably more sense than you do, and that's for sure!

Tend to stick to the RKH thread on MoneyAm as the same thread on other sites has gone rapidly downhill mainly due to in fighting. Don't let this thread go the same way. I am 'not' taking sides, but would like to suggest that if a poster feels that another poster is ramping/de-ramping incessantly, or is just stating facts that you think are wrong, then please just make your feelings known, but don't go on and on.
Most of us on here have a sufficient modicum of intelligence to sort the wheat from the chaff, but the continual tirades of 'yes it is, no it isn't' are I am sure getting in the way of informative posts.
As said, not taking sides, just want to get this thread back to being one of the best informative sites on MoneyAm.
Will be out of the link for a couple of weeks, but look forward to catching up with the RKH story when I return.
Regards to all, Greek.
