Quadrise Fuels International (QFI)

moneyman - 19 Apr 2006 12:04

....

oilyrag - 17 Oct 2007 15:51 - 25 of 63

QFI on the move at last. Agreements coming early 2008 on several contracts.

oilyrag - 23 Jun 2008 12:41 - 26 of 63

At last a contract, now to add some value to sp.

oilyrag - 23 Jun 2008 12:42 - 27 of 63

Up 0.5p or 11.11% within seconds of RNS.

oilyrag - 23 Jun 2008 14:00 - 28 of 63

The buying price has crept up to the offer price, so could see a tick up anytime, depending on mm's holdings. On ADVFN they are suggesting only 20,000 availiable at a time, which would confirm my suspicions.

oilyrag - 23 Jun 2008 14:01 - 29 of 63

Rise just doubled to 1p up 22.22%.

oilyrag - 23 Jun 2008 14:03 - 30 of 63

Now up 1.38p over 30%.

oilyrag - 23 Jun 2008 15:13 - 31 of 63

1.5p and rising, up 33.33%.

oilyrag - 08 Sep 2008 07:26 - 32 of 63

Successful manufacture and supply of 20,000 tonnes of MSAR fuel with no delays to Lithuanian power station.

Several spectators from around the world watching as QFI show a cheaper and cleaner alternative to producing electricity from waste fuels.

Should rise from here, IMO, DYOR.

oilyrag - 08 Sep 2008 07:27 - 33 of 63

Bid 4.25 and Offer 5.0 at start of week.

hangon - 06 Nov 2008 18:43 - 34 of 63

2.5/3.75 - and I thought we needed more energy.
EDIT(9Dec08)- - Sales(?)of 1200, drops sp 20% - now 2.25pence...
EDIT,(30March09) - Results show decent Cash and little commercial success, apart from proving the technology ( well, that's a Start!), but these days I guess Markets are slow, with industry cutting-down power usage.
Looks OK to me - I hold from higher - - - now 2.75p
EDIT,(24July09)-small trade of 300 (at 3.25p) seems to have dropped sp 7.5% - oh dear...and their good-Newsflow is somewhat sluggish.

hangon - 07 Dec 2009 17:43 - 35 of 63

Ann. "Some delay in Lituanian project" - this was the conversion of a power station to "heavy oil" (using QFI's technology) - not entirely clear why the current oil-price affects this, as the heavy-oil will track oil, in general.
Maybe the difference is less, but that hardly means you can switch off the lights in Lithuania . . . . . . . . . but it may be this elec is used for industry and not "domestic" - so a general fall in demand could reduce the desire to invest . . . . . not sure it makes much sense, but QFI is as ever, always hopeful something will turn-up. - - - - er, IMHO.
Let's hope it does, currently 3p/4p.
EDIT(March2010)-looks like a spike to 5p was shortlived, but some deals about look good and sp rose 29% - still 3p-ish
EDIT-(14jn2010)-RNS about Canadian Oil-sands-Bitumen...no change 2.5/3.5
EDIT-(20Aug10)-Lost an executive yesterday and ann some wildcat deal in Canada; placing at 1p has dropped sp to a tad over 2p.....DYOR on this one.

hangon - 07 Jan 2011 15:57 - 36 of 63

2011=New year madness; when sm Buys of 1k push the sp up by 14% - yet the "Sells" are twice as many as total Buys.
There may be some good news out (Recent RNS), but there is so much for them to do before this is a Buy . . . . . IMHO.

Furthermore I'm not entirely sure this "good News" treally is that good - what about the old prospects, what with Oil and Gas prices near record-highs...?
(this was the Lutuanian prospects I posted about, briefly late 2009)- this Co. is asleep.
EDIT(19Jan2011)- up again, 55% I guess I'm wrong. Yet, 20k worth more-Buys, isn't much. 6.5p mid.

cielo - 28 Feb 2011 09:49 - 37 of 63

7.75p (7.50 / 8p )

Had a large retracement 61.8% Fibonacci, ready for a bounce back.
A very good Level 2 of 3 v 1 and buying at just above middle price 7.82p, all buys so far today.

Quadrise Fuels International Plc ("QFI" or "Quadrise" or the "Company")

Contract with AkzoNobel for a Commercial Scale MSAR(R) Fuel Manufacturing Plant

Further to the announcement made on 29 June 2011, QFI is pleased to announce the closing of an important contract supporting the project development programme directly managed by Quadrise International Limited ("QIL"), a 100% owned subsidiary of QFI.

An agreement has been concluded with AkzoNobel for the purchase of the first commercial scale 1,000 tonne (6,000 barrels) per day MSAR(R) Manufacturing Unit ("MMU") to be supplied to QIL. Fabrication by AkzoNobel's sub-contractor will commence shortly with scheduled delivery to QIL in the 4(th) quarter of this year. The MMU is sized to fit the early commercial phase requirements of any of the programmes currently being scoped and developed with industry partners for the MSAR(R) Marine Fuels market (initial nominated volumes to be supplied from European ports), and for refinery based projects in Mexico and Saudi Arabia.

The business of QIL involves the manufacture and supply of Quadrise MSAR(R) emulsion fuels as a low cost replacement for conventional fuel oil in oil refining and industrial operations, power generation, desalination and the international marine bunker fuels market.

Fuel oil consumption represents one of the largest liquid fuels markets at a global level - more than 600 million tons per annum. The QIL projects are directed at selective sectors with major industry partners to build secure, diverse and profitable outlets for MSAR(R) fuels.

Commenting on this agreement, Ian Williams, Executive Chairman of QFI said:

"This agreement with AkzoNobel is a significant milestone for the Company. This high quality full scale process plant will provide QIL with the capacity to deliver MSAR(R) fuel for the first of several commercial mode projects in the refinery, power and marine sectors. Delivery is synchronised with programmes currently being developed with major stakeholders including PEMEX and A.P.Moller-Maersk."

hangon - 14 Dec 2011 14:44 - 39 of 63

I have misgiving about management - BUT if what they claim comes to pass and QFI does land a big order for fuel, their fortunes could be transformed - as a fuel oil producer with a price advantage. The snags are many and varied - I don't see the deal with AKZO is tied-up cleanly and if AKZO was given a better offer, maybe an oil-major it would be difficult to refuse - although I understand there is a lot of "know-how" involved in the refining process and Big-Oil have tried similar tech earlier - and failed.
So it's not a matter of dropping in a few pellets of magic into the tank and letting the vibration of the ship/train/power station, etc shake it up.
That would lead to much down-time and most big industries don't want down-time.

Expect a rapid rise in sp before the shipping news is made public - you read it here first!
Difficult to suggest "when" but I suspect the end of June2012 might be a good watching point....this Purely a Speculation . . .I do not know "when" - not even IF, but that is VERY unlikely with so much at stake in Sea-trials, just about started...see RNS.
I find it slightly annoying that the City uses our money to invest cheaply and then takes massive profits. . . . . seems there is something wrong with the set-up. The protester at St Pauls could have a point, although it's not clear (to me) what it is.
EDIT(2Mar2012)-Grief this rise is 100% in 3-days.....but too early for Trial News. Is this is being ramped? "Fools rush..."
EDIT(8Jn2012)_Results: Seems sea-trials confirm it can be burnt and doesn't smell - but engine efficiency and so on (ie the REAL deal) will have to wait for further trials ...and sp lost 8%.. (~ halved fm peak). Oh deary...

I've never heard of this lot, but they are listed in HL lunchtime newsletter as one of their most traded today! Any followers?

On edit :- it seems they were the subject of a MFool email this morning - so forget it!.

dreamcatcher - 28 Aug 2012 16:55 - 41 of 63

Quadrise Fuels also had a great day, putting on 16.7% to 10.5p, after the company announced progress on the commercialisation of its MSAR marine fuel oil. The company describes the product as a "low-cost alternative to heavy fuel oil in the shipping, refining, and power generation markets", and told us today that it has an agreement with AB Orlen Lietuva to manufacture its latest formulation as part of an assessment process.

The results should be in by the end of the year, and this could be worth keeping an eye on for those interested in new startups -- but it's not suffiiently far advanced for anyone to be making any financial forecasts yet.

hangon - 17 Dec 2012 02:02 - 42 of 63

AGM was host to many hangers-on - almost more than shareholders, excl Directors who seems to be doing OK - while the co stands still, despite some progress that we thought was known...
SP fell a bit, now abt 10p

dreamcatcher - 25 Jan 2013 22:34 - 43 of 63

Up 4.5% today

A buy in this weeks shares mag - The group should be heading towards full commercial roll out of MSAR across the Maersk fleet , currently expected in 2014. Further updates should sustain momentum. A £99 million market cap compares to a sum of parts valuation from Westhouse securities of £164 million.
