doubtful; it's not in their interest ..... in fact, though there isn't a direct correlation, we have seen a distinct strengthening in demand for oilfield development in saudi in recent months

hali - nothing in this life is impossible, but i recollect that saudi bases its budget on oil at $85 and a (much) higher price obviously suits them well internally ..... the counter-balance is what happens to world economies if oil is at say $150

cynic you have not forgotten the political factor, a fall in the oil price will significantly increase economic pressure on the Iranians to abandon their nuclear ambitions, as far as $150 is concerned if they allow that to happen they would be shooting themselves in the foot as well as the "goose".
