Harry not trying to put you off merely pointing out what FIG has said about the possible outcome of the well test.

Nice rises yesterday and today....... decent buying, good demand.

We should see a good steady rise in the share price from now on with high expectation of a good flow test.

Weather in FI a lot better and little wind the next 5 days so no more lost days on the OG.

I think a lot of people are missing the point on RKH flow tests on various boards.

Before anything else you must consider ;

1/ The Sea Lion well was an exploration well, therefore it is not in the optimal place given all the new data they have since drilling and the interpretation of that data. Being in a non-optimal place any flow test will be limited in terms of rates.

2/ The Sea Lion well will be Plugged and Abandoned after the flow test, due to it being non-optimal placing in hindsight and also it costs far too much money to keep a well in "suspended" status when production is years away. This campaign is about proving oil.

3/ Appraisal well/s will be drilled, not only to map out the size and depth of the structure (given they have not found the oil/water contact and it may be much bigger than presently thought), but also to check the flow rates from more "optimal" locations for production wells.

4/ Appraisal wells, being located in "optimal" places (based on the new data) will likely flow at much higher rates.



All that is being done here is basic flow testing to allow the models to have some real data to work on, which will then allow them to know what future appraisal wells and production wells in optimal locations should flow at.


"Successful" flow tests here are simply " .......a flow rate that validates the models and allows the company to be sure than future optimal placed wells in other locations in the Sea Lion structure should produce at xxxx bopd flow rates..........".

Thats all, its very simple.

What pro is pointing out in a quiet way and I think the board of RKH are doing as well is showing you the size of the other potential prospects and what they may hold then you look at the size of Sea Lion and itsfooooooking huge compared to the other prospects.

come on Marky .... you should have learned by now (Ernest and Liz et al) that what a company may HOPE to find is a long long way from the actuality .... none of them intentionally drills a dud!

am very happy with current position ..... banked adequate profit from shorting FOGL (arguably a bit early) and added some long DES (pure spec trade i reckon) to my existing o'weight position in RKH

It's going to be tricky deciding what to do once the SL flow test comes in, assuming it is good. The sp should increase, but once the well is plugged I can see a lot of investors locking in profit on what has been a very good run. Expecting every well to be a gusher is crazy, imo, so each well has to be a new risk, with the appropriate losses & gains in the sp. I think my strategy will be to sell 75% of my holding & let the rest run, as much of the current sp, as I am sure certain individuals will point out, is derisked. At this point, I would rather not think about the downside of a disappointing flow test!
