jamesfernandes - 05 Jan 2006 12:02 - 256 of 2511

any guesses where the price will go to?

AndrewThomson77 - 05 Jan 2006 12:02 - 257 of 2511

Yes good news.

Also, Shares Magazine had an play of the week update today on VOG reiterating it as a buy (at 135p before the news).

rayrac - 05 Jan 2006 13:00 - 258 of 2511

Lucky. Or what?
Don't think they were aware of the latest news before printing.

TheFrenchConnection - 05 Jan 2006 13:25 - 259 of 2511

Amities / Nice call CT . RNS appears very upbeat Very confident as far as RNS 's go. One in which can only inspire more than a little optimism. .l dont personally think VOG would have either the sheer nerve or stupidity to start negotiating of these kind with the likes of Gazprom or thier representatives , unless they were pretty damn sure they have, and can extract a good percentage of the gas D & M states they have . The jigsaw is unfolding. @+ J ..

nkirkup - 05 Jan 2006 13:33 - 260 of 2511

The market knows that to be the case, 5 million traded so far on today's RNS,
tomorrows papers will cover VOG and much more to come.

ellio - 05 Jan 2006 15:46 - 261 of 2511

how quickly can they start expoerting gas?

ellio - 05 Jan 2006 15:47 - 262 of 2511

or exporting even ie move into production

ellio - 05 Jan 2006 15:47 - 263 of 2511

or exporting even ie move into production

niceonecyril - 05 Jan 2006 18:18 - 264 of 2511

TFC, Agree with your comments as regards to what we have, also i believe
Gazprim are involved with this project, and feel that they too would have
knowledge of its potenial. So a two way endorsement imho.

ellio - 06 Jan 2006 09:41 - 265 of 2511

If these break 200p then we'll see 300p eady and then some pull back before edging higher to 300 p again, once things are finalised 500p no problem

kiran999patel - 06 Jan 2006 09:48 - 266 of 2511

Surprised by lack of interest on the board here on this one.

This one is real exciting and has risen from 80p odd to 1.50 in less than a month.

Still more to come ............ IMHO

AndrewThomson77 - 06 Jan 2006 10:18 - 267 of 2511

I like your confidence ellio!

In my opinion 200 and 300p are longer term targets (say 6months - 1 year). Chart indicates a slight pullback (perhaps to 140p or thereabouts) is imminent, to be followed by a rise back up beyond 160p.

All dependent on news flow of course.

AndrewThomson77 - 06 Jan 2006 10:35 - 268 of 2511

Small stock of the day in today's Times, by the way.

niceonecyril - 06 Jan 2006 22:58 - 269 of 2511

Andrew, Some news on the not to distant future regarding Kemerkol,re-entry
into 3 shut in wells which should confirm the oil daily flow rates. This is
expected to turn into production in Q1, with VOG becoming a Producer then
we could see the SP take off again.
Of cause an acquistion has been hinted at for some time? and with the recent
issue, funds would not be a problem. Also expecting the test results of well 104
this quarter. All in all a busy and hopefully fruitful time for VOG.

WOW

Further to my post 243, this beauty has far exceeded my expectations in the 2 weeks or so since I bought into VOG. Already showing 40% gain and looking forward to more good news flow and the rollercoaster ride ahead.

Cheers

Victoria's Gazprom Protocol Requires Caution

Friday, January 06, 2006 10:56:01 AM ET
Dow Jones Newswires

1438 GMT [Dow Jones] Victoria Oil and Gas's (VOG.LN) protocol with Gazprom (GSPBEX.RS) is a positive move but requires caution since reserves and price still have to be determined, says analyst. Victoria announced Thursday a protocol outlining terms for future discussion on the distribution of its gas by Gazprom. An analyst says: "still a long way before finalizing sale agreement" but adds no risk of spat as witnessed in Ukraine since talks are on Russian domestic gas. Victoria shares +7.9% at 158p. (BXF)

TheFrenchConnection - 08 Jan 2006 06:37 - 272 of 2511

Amities / Bon matins ! ...Report in the business section of Forbes magazine that must clearly bring cheer to shareholders. The brief article states " Following successful well tests and agreement regarding reserve reclassification it (Nadyymgazprom { NGP } , a subsidiary of Gazprom) will initiate negotiations for transportation , storage and marketing of gas from the project " ......So it appears the "successful" well tests @ WMed were already completed and made known as early as Friday morning.. Little wonder trade was so bullish and the Times touted it as " share " of the day . l suspect most traders now expect a little retracement as chart suggests to the 125 /130 level or even lower as profit takers bank massive profit . But an excellent flow of positive news always trumps charts rendering them irrelevent to a degree ; and without wishing to sound over confident but the s/p on VOG could easily double on the back of NGPs verification of an abundance of gas at West Medvezhye aided by the fact that PSI levels at this well have proven both stable and impressive ....and once the gas starts commercially flowing we could all be sitting on extremely healthy returns . Also news that Vog to drill 2 new wells this year @ yet unamed sites . An RNS is inevitable i believe , and equally inevitably with so much at stake MMS will have absolute field day with this stock . ....Bonne chance et a'bientot ...Slt /.@+ J .........

AndrewThomson77 - 08 Jan 2006 12:24 - 273 of 2511

TFC,

My interpretation of the article was that the negotiations would be initiated following successful well tests, which have not yet been completed. I fully expect them to be completed successfully in the next couple of weeks and then the price will rise.

Short term, I expect a drop. Initially, I did think to 130, as you say, but now I think 140-145 is more realistic.
