looks to me like support as predicted at 1200 from which sp has bounced ..... could do with PTH's wisdom!

Intention to move to main listing after 6 years on AIM. This usually bodes well for shares at least according to the nakedtrader. Forced purchase by trackers fund managers. May buy especially with gold above 850!

Excellent read on gold:

If POG does go for a full listing I'm not sure to what extent we will see selling ahead of buying back into the ISA. I certainly like the prospects of buying in the ISA if we don't move ahead too quickly.

bought yesterday and showing a modest profit ..... did so as i only had very limited gold exposure via CEY (doing very nicely) and HMB (doing fuck all!) .... i also hold HOC but i see that as more of a silver play

Gold shoots up again but pog drops, can anyone explain?? Have they hedged it at a silly price?

No, under JORC the extractable gold has been reduced - still suffering from that I would imagine. Plus if they go fully listed there will be those that are perhaps sitting on hefty profits that they will need to realise before possibly rebuying once fully listed. Just an idea.

sp has dropped through 25 dma again ...... probably not the day to buy, though 1200 may be

took a slightly rash plunge, but sp has certainly recovered a bit from its earlier somewhat parlous position

Jury's out. There have been 2 sell recs in the last week for 10 and 1172p as they're not going to meet their targets in the timeframe first thought. Still like the company and look to get back in should the opportunity arise. There were also 2 buy recs in last week, for 1650p and 1602p.

cannot see why POG took another dive this morning, and if i was not feeling so generally gloomy about the markets, might well suggest that a flutter here, even in the very short term, could be nicely profitable
LOL!!
while writing, i see sp bounced 30p from its low

Was watching too lol! I'd prefer to maybe keep my powder dry for the time being but like the idea of acquiring under the ISA umbrella in due course...

i have, and if you have AVM then well done ..... not one i have ever followed.
looking now at the POG chart (below), i am contemplating quite seriously having a little flutter ..... i understand why the dip over the last few days, but on chart technicalities, going long does not look a bad bet

More Solid Gains for the Precious Metals
Clearly, the precious metals are now in the "powerful rally" that I mentioned in the last alert. But the natural question is whether this rally will continue.
No one of course can predict the future, but as I have been saying in these alerts all along, undervalued assets eventually become fully valued and in some cases, even overvalued. Gold and silver remain undervalued, so whether this current rally climbs further in the weeks ahead is largely irrelevant. Gold and silver will continue to climb over the long-term until at some future date they become fully valued, and we are a long way from that moment.
