phew !!!

that was good timing

HARRYCAT - 16 Jan 2007 11:44 - 259 of 301

Not sure what is going on here, but may have something to do with the CEO exercising his 650k share options.
There doesn't seem to be any bad news on the horizon, so no cause for immediate alarm. I confess I sold at 98p, but will watch for another oportunity to get back in.
What we need is cynic here to give chart analysis info. Am I right in saying that resistance should be around the 80p level for the 200 DMA?

humpback321 - 16 Jan 2007 13:29 - 260 of 301

trading statement due. should be good. last years trading statement was on the 20th of jan.

ziblot - 16 Jan 2007 17:07 - 261 of 301

Doesnt matter what the chart says, a statement is due and it has to be convincing. Any support on the chart will mean nothing.

cynic - 17 Jan 2007 04:35 - 262 of 301

COR! give me a break Harry!! ..... just flew into SF this afternoon and just catching up at 04:00 your time, so arguably even less coherent that usual ..... i recently bought these on gut feel, and hope that i am not prven wrong .... chart does not look nice at all with questionable supprt now at 80

Vislink plc
2006 year end trading update
Wednesday 17th January 2007

"The Group has had another record year with profits in line with expectations for
the year ended 31 December 2006.

Sales increased by 17.5% to 100 million compared with 85.1million for 2005.
Orders received were ahead of last year at 97 million (2005 - 95.5 million)
and the order book remains strong at 34 million.

The Group expects its adjusted operating profit for the year, being operating
profit before the amortisation of acquired intangibles, to be not less than
13.5 million, compared with 8.35 million for 2005.

The domestic market has been particularly strong for MRC, our US business, as a
result of the significant volume of business derived from the 2GHz
re-channelisation programme. Our UK business continues to benefit from sales
into the US through MRC and the increasing demand for Link Research's new High
Definition products as well as the good recovery in sales and profitability of
Advent, the satellite communications business.

Hernis, the Norwegian specialist marine safety and security business, has had
another record year for sales and orders, winning significant orders from both
marine and offshore oil and gas projects.

In summary, trading has been strong across the Group, with record sales and
profits from each of the US, UK and Norwegian businesses. The Board looks
forward to 2007 with enthusiasm and confidence."

The next main event to affect the sp for VLK may be the release of results on the 28th March '07.

evilratboy - 10 Feb 2007 19:18 - 264 of 301

hey guys..
i dont post very often ..im doing a bit of research into Vislink ..but no update on this thread since mid-jan.
I was thinking about getting into these but im a bit spooked by the price drop in the past few days ...any views from anyone ??

p.s i am also in Chaco and i recognize a few posters names from here..

PapalPower - 09 Aug 2007 12:40 - 265 of 301

Just got myself some VLK, first time in a long time I am holding. Looks like a herd exit today, which means it should bounce back before too long.

HARRYCAT - 09 Aug 2007 13:27 - 266 of 301

'Too long' meaning.....?
Looking at the chart, there don't seem to be many support levels.

cynic - 09 Aug 2007 13:29 - 267 of 301

i held these too about a year ago from memory ...... just because a share falls, why should it then recover? ...... bad logic for you PP ..... much more pertinent would be to know why the precipitous fall with very significant volume

HARRYCAT - 09 Aug 2007 13:34 - 268 of 301

Results due on 30th Aug. Maybe with heavy exposure in the U.S. the weak $ has hit the results???

PapalPower - 09 Aug 2007 13:40 - 269 of 301

I think just a shorter attack, knowing Robbie Burns and his followers were all stop loss set at 72p.

Herd selling..............I think. :)

crockham - 09 Aug 2007 13:43 - 270 of 301

With rumours of a possible takeover, could it not be just a tree shake?

HARRYCAT - 09 Aug 2007 14:44 - 271 of 301

Possible takeover!!! Where did that come from?
They have just bought a company in California. I can see no rumour as you suggest, crockham.

cynic - 09 Aug 2007 14:57 - 272 of 301

if they have company in CA i can see why sp has dived ..... so many companies fancy their chances in US and get eaten alive

PapalPower - 13 Aug 2007 08:44 - 273 of 301

Starting to bounce back now.

Sellers appear clear, so buying pressure should have this moving back fast.

PapalPower - 13 Aug 2007 11:14 - 274 of 301

On Line Limits :

BUY 7.5K @ 71.97p

SELL 100K @ 71.56p

40K X trade there at 72p. Seems like a buyer wants stock.

BAYLIS - 23 Aug 2007 20:32 - 275 of 301

GOOD to go.

CWMAM - 05 Dec 2007 07:11 - 276 of 301

RNS significant orders ,good news.

XSTEFFX - 12 Feb 2008 10:58 - 277 of 301

Commenting, Ian Scott-Gall, Chief Executive said: 'The Board is looking forward
to 2008 with confidence. We have a strong balance sheet and are looking to
strengthen the Group with suitable strategic acquisitions, through the
development of the regional sales offices in the important Middle and Far East
markets and through increased investment in research & development.'
