Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

I was having a nap and woke up to wonderful news.
Pierre Jungels, Executive Chairman, commented:
"Rockhopper is the first company to successfully flow oil to surface in Falkland Islands waters. The test has provided vital information which will allow us to move forward through appraisal, a key step in proving the reserves discovered.
We believe that Sea Lion is the largest fan sandstone body in the North Falkland Basin and, given this successful flow test, that the Sea Lion discovery will be commercially viable."
Not only is it commercial you have one of the most respected people in the business TELL YOU THIS IS THE BIGGEST in the NFB.
Given the potential size of some of the other prospects that to me says he thinks this is possibly over 500 million barrels recoverable in size.
That makes Sea Lion alone potentially worth over 15 pounds a share. Just Sea Lion.
Am I selling ? No way at all, never planned to, as you all know. Holding all my original and now am buying more !

COMMERCIALLY viable and ........ Rockhopper anticipates that the additional equipment that would be incorporated into any future test, when combined with a more optimal well location, would result in a significantly higher flow rate.

L2 is changing so fast it would be pointless and misleading to actually try
and post it on a thread.
There's AT trades going though almost every second so any posted L2
on a bulletin board is instantly outdated.
Doubt that would stop you posting it again :-))

Was is it about posting the truth that upsets you so much.
I'm not deramping this, just pointing out that L2 and the order books are
shifting none stop it's pointless to post any L2 as it changes instantly.

There is a Broker " Canaccord" that reckons the using the propper equipment it would have flowed at over 5,000b/d.

We should be on for more news ahead, with results of the data analysis etc..
For sure, IMO, Rockhopper will now move to the main market as soon as possible (maybe even complete before Christmas or sooner) and do the fund raise to pay for 2011 exploration (Fox/Stephens/Jason etc.) as well as appraising Sea Lion to lead to more size upgrades for the beauty ! :)
Still cannot believe they have said they think Sea Lion is now the biggest fan play in the NFB - thats big upgrades coming in time IMO to the recoverable barrels figure.

With this under their belt it opens many doors.
They still have fabulous exploration targets like Fox, Stephens and Jason all very close to Sea Lion and totaling around 1 Billion barrels recoverable potential.
Add that into a 2011 exploration campaign, and also appraising Sea Lion and moving that up to say 500 million barrels or near to it, recoverable.
The sky is the limit, in 18 months time over 2000p is possible as is over 3000p.
As I keep saying, once in a lifetime chance to join in. Buy them fully paid for, lock them away and ignore market swings, crashes and whatever..... stay focussed on the goal.
DES is still very high risk - I do hold and hope they strike with Rachel.
RKH is now undervalued based on a whopping commercial oil find, with lots to come.
P.S. Did I mention about Pierre saying Sea Lion is the BIGGEST fan play in the NFB and the implications of that ...... ;) like wow Sea Lion might be world class 500 million recoverable barrels and its all 100% owned by RKH !!
