Time to Switch into ITV (ITV)

JRM - 17 Jul 2006 13:05

ITV must now be a bargain. The current team clearly are an issue but you'd think the big American companies would recognise the bargain.

The yield is also high and can be reinvested. That really does limit the down side. You can even win here if it drops further!

TANKER---------BSKYB said they checked the legalities prior to buying the stake, so presumably they had the OK to do so, what I don't understand is how they were able to buy nearly 18% of ITV @ 135p without the investing public being aware.

They did what NTL should have done and bought out two of the largest shareholders in one go. No wonder Branson's mad, he must be surrounded by monkeys!

2517GEORGE - 20 Nov 2006 12:48 - 28 of 519

JRM-----If they bought during the trading day, surely as soon as they had a 3% holding the market should have been informed. Re your comment about BT, do you mean better for BT to takeover ITV, or better for BT in general?

Almost clawed back to fridays closing price, feeling nervous so sold my call options @ 18p having bought @ 12.5p. If they should drop back then I may buy again ( options not the shares ).

Falcothou - 27 Nov 2006 22:48 - 35 of 519

Grade to defect to ITV Daily Telegraph scoop, should boost the rudderless ship.

optomistic - 27 Nov 2006 23:15 - 36 of 519

No longer to be rudderless!! One thing the press will no longer be able to be negative about...may even have to redirect their attentions to 'the other side'

bristlelad - 28 Nov 2006 09:06 - 37 of 519

ITV has just started on the homerun /

tipton11 - 28 Nov 2006 09:37 - 38 of 519

well I'm blowed more selling than buying at 9.30

Falcothou - 28 Nov 2006 09:46 - 39 of 519

May be the institutional investors already knew about Grade and this news has sustained the sp since takeover skupper

TANKER - 28 Nov 2006 10:05 - 40 of 519

TANKER - 01 Dec 2006 15:10 - 42 of 519

this is now dead and fsa not a word, if this happend in all companys there would be no point in trading,

optomistic - 01 Dec 2006 15:13 - 43 of 519

It's like an iceberg, you can only see a little bit at the top! It's the action underneath that we can't see that counts. Give it time.

JRM - 04 Dec 2006 11:55 - 44 of 519

See what I was hinting at when I mentioned BT!

TANKER - 06 Dec 2006 11:48 - 45 of 519
