There's no keeping a good dog down

JStratford - 23 Mar 2005 15:45 - 2610 of 24230

Cilla, My adoring pupils are just that.... too damn adoring!
Starting to panic at the moment as they've got a load of competitions and concerts coming up early April and I haven't finished writing the music out yet :-(
Still first rehersal is next week sometime, so I'll really start panicing after that.

Golddog - 23 Mar 2005 15:47 - 2611 of 24230

Calm down dear,

it's only a rehersal!

JStratford - 23 Mar 2005 15:49 - 2612 of 24230

Yep but the first performance is only a week after....
Added to that I'm in the middle of these fun things called exams... which reminds me better go and revise (learn?) for tomorrow :-(

jeffmack - 23 Mar 2005 15:54 - 2613 of 24230

I couldnt do that job. I would give the little lovelies a clip around the ear

Golddog - 23 Mar 2005 15:54 - 2614 of 24230

Exams! i remember them!! no thanks you can keep em. Good luck and remember if you start to panic during an exam, just imagine a little pooch sitting on your right shoulder saying...'pint of bods, pint of bods'.

stockbunny - 23 Mar 2005 16:08 - 2615 of 24230

Well folks, you know it has been just 'too' exciting for me today,
so much so that I have to leave to lay down in a darkened room in the burrow
such has been the sheer level of activity and suspense during today's
amazing day for realising investments...................

After such a day I ponder the real issues in life....

Like where will Securicor park to deliver my profits from today?

Yeah, I know.....it is the lowest form of wit!

OK enjoy your evenings happy bunnies and remember The Apprentice is
on tonight at 9pm on BBC2, oh yes and I'll be distributing the
Easter Eggs tomorrow in the coffee house!
:>)

Golddog - 23 Mar 2005 16:13 - 2616 of 24230

and thats why we love you. x

JStratford - 23 Mar 2005 16:17 - 2617 of 24230

Ok I'm bored with revision.... I'll just wing it.. again :-)

Jeff, you'd be suprised how satisfying a scathing comment about their boyfriend / girlfriend can be!

Golddog - 23 Mar 2005 16:19 - 2618 of 24230

No you wont! get back to your revision.

Socrates - 23 Mar 2005 16:55 - 2619 of 24230

Good evening all, a lovely day weatherwise, not so good marketwise. Mind you, I've seen precious little of either since I'm still wandering around in this tunnel. I'm not the only one it seems. I just had a conversation with a frenchman who asked if Napoleon was still in power! Thank goodness for mobile phones, I was able to ask a friend if he was.

Thanks for the question, no need to be coy, death is a part of life that cannot be escaped by any of us. As it happens, mater is now at home having escaped from Stalag Hospital and a gradual improvement is in hand. Eating and drinking more and hating being waited on constantly. Might make the hundred up yet.

Good evening Priscilla.

Priscilla - 23 Mar 2005 17:03 - 2620 of 24230

Hello, Socs! Glad Mater is getting stronger. When is her birthday?

Socrates - 23 Mar 2005 17:15 - 2621 of 24230

October Priscilla.

Priscilla - 23 Mar 2005 18:08 - 2622 of 24230

That's good, Socs. Gives us a chance to get the party organized....

Thought I would try to book Cheltenham festival early this year with the hope of getting a hotel in town. Tried about 10 so far with no luck. Any ideas?

Whenever I have gone on walkabout, I've always gone to the local information bureau. They usually can put you in touch with hotels with vacancies. You can also try here:
