Camelot - 28 Apr 2010 08:43 - 262 of 3532

you are an early bird
not in the uk, I assume

ftse has recently been leading and has got frothy

if you are right, this chart suggests 5425 (futures) is needed to bring it back in line
(or the Dow needs to rally)

goldfinger - 28 Apr 2010 11:08 - 263 of 3532

Looks like you could be right Camelot......5425 looks like its on the cards if this mornings market is anything to go by.

By the way nope resident here in the UK in the heart of Yorkshire.

Camelot - 28 Apr 2010 12:26 - 264 of 3532

in the meantime marketmakers doing all they can to try and fill yesterdays auction gap
which doesnt close till 5630 (cash)

they may need to do that before 13:30

edit 14:30

Camelot - 28 Apr 2010 12:28 - 265 of 3532

goldfinger - 04 May 2010 21:24 - 268 of 3532

to top for brian.

Camelot - 05 May 2010 07:16 - 269 of 3532

see post 262

5425 target met yesterday

goldfinger - 05 May 2010 15:40 - 270 of 3532

Indeed indeed good call.

my tuppenth now.........

Looks a bit grim out there. Earlier today nearly went through support at 5,300. Greece, Portugal, Spain .........Britain next???.

ftse%201.JPG

Interesting to note aswell from the chart that what goes up,..... must come down a lot slower.

(im sure thats not the law of gravity)

It took 6 weeks to get to 5,800 from 5,400 and then 6 days for the Bears to wipe it out.

Makes you think doesnt it, am I on the right side of the track ??

Fred1new - 06 May 2010 18:44 - 271 of 3532

Wait for the rebound to start.

Tell me when?

goldfinger - 07 May 2010 02:48 - 272 of 3532

Futures at 5117.................... helppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.

goldfinger - 10 May 2010 07:58 - 273 of 3532

Looking for a big recovery today.

Lovely bullish chart pattern formed.........

goldfinger - 13 May 2010 17:28 - 274 of 3532

SDL worth giving this the once over. Lower indicators showing positive with MACD crossing over the signal line (advfn data a lttle slow) and a bullish trend channel in place.

Seems to be quite a bit of Broker backing aswell. Hoping for a trading SP target of 535p.

Connaught (CNT)
Services and Social (Housing area)
Maybe of interest.
Large amount of directors buying in the last week.
PE high.
Forecasted earnings on the up over next years.
Consensus buy.
Yield poor at 1.4%
But do you own home work.

To me it looks as it is breaking out of down trend but Stock and ROC and OBV may suggest leaving for a few days,

I bought a small SB today.

Wiil buy again later if I appear to be right.

Bur this market is dangerous.

halifax - 13 May 2010 17:57 - 276 of 3532

Fred government budgets for social housing face large cuts don't think this is a good time to be buying shares in companies dependant in goverment handouts.

Fred1new - 13 May 2010 18:09 - 277 of 3532

Halifax,

I don't disagree, and bought only a few, small enough holding to annoy, but not hurt to much. Also, have tight Stop losses.

I am not sure of whether contracts can be cancelled.

But check the director buys and "projected" earnings.

halifax - 13 May 2010 18:14 - 278 of 3532

Fred hope contracts will not be cancelled but more likely implementation would be delayed.

cynic - 14 May 2010 08:30 - 279 of 3532

i would agree with you young hali, though CNT (which i have held for a couple of months) is on a recovery tack so may well buck the trend

btw, i have opened a modest short on ftse as of this morning

goldfinger - 15 May 2010 11:38 - 280 of 3532

Regal Pet RPT chart alerted to me on the SC site by Jo.

Everything more or less at basement level (even the boly band) and looking to rise a great deal further........

MACD, SLOW STOTS RSI all point to big increases.

What a TA stonker.
