How are you doing that?

Do you cook the onion with the mash or separately?

Roast squash, never tried it,but I assue it is done the same way as parsnips?

Do me a favour hils - if you can turn 10k into 1/2 a mill in 2 months you'd be making 3m per yr - if you were bothering to trade a small cap share and wind up long term investors with ramps/deramps making that sort of money you really should get out more!!!!!

I'm not very good at roast potatoes, so like experimenting with mash. It's really easy, just cook your potatoes as normal and mash up. Add either olive oil to moisten or butter and milk.Season as normal. Finely chop up a couple of slices of red onion and stir in. Take a handful of fresh sage and snip or chop into bits and stir in. It tastes great. No need to cook the onion as red onion is quite mild. Another variation is to chuck in fresh chives and a very mature cheddar grated, or.....
Squash is another simple one. Buy it from the farm shop and save yourself the extortionate supermarket prices. Wash it under the tap. Do not peel it. Cut it into halves or quarters or whatever(some of the shapes are a bit odd). Scoop out the seeds with a spoon and place the pieces either right side up if smaller or upside down if larger. The important thing is to put a knob of butter in the gap where the seeds were and sprinkle with pepper. Takes about 40 minutes at 180c.Don't eat the skin.
Like the brick but I missed the crispy skin. Please can you let me know what else I can cook in it. I'd be grateful.

The skin should still be a crispy, probably not as much as without, but her in doors, (joking, shes the sole earner now I have packed in), likes it as it comes out from the brick.

Hils - you really are hysterical!! do you know what, i think i am actually starting to warm to you now. 0.5 mill in two months, you, it had me cracking up for ages!

my agenda is simple, i enjoy trading small caps and particular enjoy the playful banter that boards like this provide. my real business though is trading larger caps in the UK, US, Australasia. if someone less experienced would like a view, opinion or isn't clear about something in the market then i am delighted to answer questions on or off the board. what i don't do is spread misinformation or gloat at those who are losing money or less experienced.

Lighten up Hils. we all enjoy this thread and i believe i speak for all when i say that we would prefer if you would add constructive comments (long or short) as opposed to malicious views that has the sole purpose of riling others.

I knew when I posted last night that I would prompt the reaction and you didn't disappoint. Let me open up and tell you a little story seeing as you've started to warm to me.

Like you, I enjoy trading small caps. It's where I started many moons ago and, more than anything alse, I find them great fun. You'll no doubt be aware though, that over a year ago they introduced setsmm. For me this was a real killer as it destroyed the momentum within many of the stocks that I had been trading. I had never been one to scalp thin sets stocks across the book and much preferred mm driven stocks, but scalping looked like it was to be the new game plan if I wanted to stay the course.

At that point I started looking at FX and took an instant liking to it. Fantastic liquidity meant that you could take positions in cable worth nearly 2m for a deposit as little as 6k and an ultra-tight spread of 400. I'm a fast learner and I quickly worked out that it was possible to either double your stake in a few hours or lose it completely. I was also fortunate to be introduced through a friend to the head of FX for a large US investment bank.

The rest is history which I'll leave it your imagination. I will say though that I haven't lied in any of my posts.

As I said, I do still like to have fun with the small caps though.

I don't have a view on cable as such. It's just a number and I trade what I see. If I try to think, it will cloud my judgement.

But, seeing as you ask, it does look as if a retest of 1.95 is on the cards over the next week or two.

Pleased to say that I added another 100,000 shares to my holding this morning
at slightly under 15p per share.

This is the third time I have bought into SEY this year and I'm hoping that for the third time it will be a profitable move. I'm already sitting on a small profit from my purchase earlier in the week.

I'm hoping for a quick bounce in the sp after the recent falls.
