Takes awhile to load with broadband.

I would not recommend dial up modems unless you have nothing better to do.

Its a Woodside PDF more up to date than many seen before.

Hils - you really are hysterical!! do you know what, i think i am actually starting to warm to you now. 0.5 mill in two months, you, it had me cracking up for ages!

my agenda is simple, i enjoy trading small caps and particular enjoy the playful banter that boards like this provide. my real business though is trading larger caps in the UK, US, Australasia. if someone less experienced would like a view, opinion or isn't clear about something in the market then i am delighted to answer questions on or off the board. what i don't do is spread misinformation or gloat at those who are losing money or less experienced.

Lighten up Hils. we all enjoy this thread and i believe i speak for all when i say that we would prefer if you would add constructive comments (long or short) as opposed to malicious views that has the sole purpose of riling others.

Hilary, send me a private email if you would like to discuss this further.

rgds as ever

proptrade,

I knew when I posted last night that I would prompt the reaction and you didn't disappoint. Let me open up and tell you a little story seeing as you've started to warm to me.

Like you, I enjoy trading small caps. It's where I started many moons ago and, more than anything alse, I find them great fun. You'll no doubt be aware though, that over a year ago they introduced setsmm. For me this was a real killer as it destroyed the momentum within many of the stocks that I had been trading. I had never been one to scalp thin sets stocks across the book and much preferred mm driven stocks, but scalping looked like it was to be the new game plan if I wanted to stay the course.

At that point I started looking at FX and took an instant liking to it. Fantastic liquidity meant that you could take positions in cable worth nearly 2m for a deposit as little as 6k and an ultra-tight spread of 400. I'm a fast learner and I quickly worked out that it was possible to either double your stake in a few hours or lose it completely. I was also fortunate to be introduced through a friend to the head of FX for a large US investment bank.

The rest is history which I'll leave it your imagination. I will say though that I haven't lied in any of my posts.

As I said, I do still like to have fun with the small caps though.

Hils, careful...from a polite email like that i think that others would believe we are now becoming friends!

you know what, i so prefer it when posts are as civil as this and i now (sincerely) look forward to future correspondence on the board.

lets just make a pact not to make it personal.

on a serious note then, as you have brough up cable, what is your view?

daves dazzlers - 15 Dec 2004 12:06 - 2634 of 7811

Morning team sey,,whats this {civilized } thats better.

I tell you what not a 0.01 at christmas/and not a 1.00 buy next christmas,,but 0.50 by june so i can buy a new arvor 215.

LOL matey!

namreh3 - 15 Dec 2004 12:54 - 2637 of 7811

Western civilisation? I didn't know they had any!

hilary - 15 Dec 2004 12:54 - 2638 of 7811

proptrade,

I don't have a view on cable as such. It's just a number and I trade what I see. If I try to think, it will cloud my judgement.

hilary - 15 Dec 2004 12:57 - 2639 of 7811

But, seeing as you ask, it does look as if a retest of 1.95 is on the cards over the next week or two.

Pleased to say that I added another 100,000 shares to my holding this morning
at slightly under 15p per share.

This is the third time I have bought into SEY this year and I'm hoping that for the third time it will be a profitable move. I'm already sitting on a small profit from my purchase earlier in the week.

I'm hoping for a quick bounce in the sp after the recent falls.

namreh3 - 15 Dec 2004 14:02 - 2642 of 7811

Slightly under 15p or 16p? 1704.

seawallwalker - 15 Dec 2004 14:06 - 2643 of 7811

Funny how yesterdays RNS and the extended Tiof fiewld has changed the complexion of these and PSC memebers shares.

HNR have a broker upgrade too which I am pleased about.

1 by Christmas.

But, which one?

Which one?

mickeyskint - 15 Dec 2004 14:12 - 2644 of 7811

SEY will do me. No let's go for both...greedy who me?

MS

seawallwalker - 15 Dec 2004 14:16 - 2645 of 7811

Which stock and which Christmas.

Neither are for selling just now.

LOL

Anyone see the apparent size of Tiof on the HNR release?

Gigantic!

Thats why I need both sets of stock tucked away.

1704 - 15 Dec 2004 14:28 - 2646 of 7811

Namreh3

Thanks for pointing out my error I purchased 100,000 for slightly under 16p
this morning.

I must have been hoping it was 15p like my earlier purchase this week.

namreh3 - 15 Dec 2004 14:36 - 2647 of 7811

Good job 1704. Let us all hope Hils will use the skills she has to ramp SEY again so we can all make lots of not-so-hard-earned lolly and buy back in again for the long term after the predictable (short-term) retreat.
(p.s. - thanks Hilary, made a packet!)
