sp has dropped through 25 dma again ...... probably not the day to buy, though 1200 may be

cynic - 30 Jan 2008 13:16 - 264 of 2076

don 't currently hold but still actively watch ...... sp has been very unsettled of late - see 3 month chart below ...... sp is now just teasing below what should be solid support where 25+50 dma coincide ...... the brave trader (not me!) may want to consider buying (would be my choice) or even selling at this juncture

cynic - 30 Jan 2008 15:08 - 265 of 2076

took a slightly rash plunge, but sp has certainly recovered a bit from its earlier somewhat parlous position

Greyhound - 31 Jan 2008 09:12 - 266 of 2076

Jury's out. There have been 2 sell recs in the last week for 10 and 1172p as they're not going to meet their targets in the timeframe first thought. Still like the company and look to get back in should the opportunity arise. There were also 2 buy recs in last week, for 1650p and 1602p.

cannot see why POG took another dive this morning, and if i was not feeling so generally gloomy about the markets, might well suggest that a flutter here, even in the very short term, could be nicely profitable

LOL!!
while writing, i see sp bounced 30p from its low

Greyhound - 11 Feb 2008 08:26 - 268 of 2076

Was watching too lol! I'd prefer to maybe keep my powder dry for the time being but like the idea of acquiring under the ISA umbrella in due course...

cynic - 11 Feb 2008 08:41 - 269 of 2076

good call wasn't it! .... sp was -66 when i started writing as is now +8

Greyhound - 11 Feb 2008 08:52 - 270 of 2076

Plenty of time for it to more lower again ;)

cynic - 11 Feb 2008 09:32 - 271 of 2076

interestinmg to note support on 25/50 dma .... have linked them together as they are pretty close .... also support line (can't remember how i worked that on out!) at 1315

required field - 11 Feb 2008 23:06 - 272 of 2076

Cynic, Greyhound,...have a look at AVM : good production figures...and today +10.5p increase !

cynic - 13 Feb 2008 09:28 - 273 of 2076

i have, and if you have AVM then well done ..... not one i have ever followed.
looking now at the POG chart (below), i am contemplating quite seriously having a little flutter ..... i understand why the dip over the last few days, but on chart technicalities, going long does not look a bad bet

More Solid Gains for the Precious Metals

Clearly, the precious metals are now in the "powerful rally" that I mentioned in the last alert. But the natural question is whether this rally will continue.
No one of course can predict the future, but as I have been saying in these alerts all along, undervalued assets eventually become fully valued and in some cases, even overvalued. Gold and silver remain undervalued, so whether this current rally climbs further in the weeks ahead is largely irrelevant. Gold and silver will continue to climb over the long-term until at some future date they become fully valued, and we are a long way from that moment.

Results due out Monday lets hope for some good news.

cynic - 17 Jun 2008 13:25 - 277 of 2076

see chart post 274 .... fingers crossed that at long last POG is going to make a break for glory ..... with rising bullion and damn good management etc etc, i am amazed that sp has been so dull for the last few months

Greyhound - 17 Jun 2008 13:27 - 278 of 2076

Yes, been watching closely, looks to have some substance now.

Greyhound - 27 Jun 2008 15:53 - 279 of 2076

For me this is looking good again now. Been reading that gold producers now will start to see the gains that the metal itself has been enjoying.

Greyhound - 10 Jul 2008 08:37 - 280 of 2076

1125p has been good support, 3 times in 2007/8 and was good support in 2006. A break there and 977p next support. But I suspect the former could be a good point of entry with caution.

Falcothou - 10 Jul 2008 09:04 - 281 of 2076

Taken a punt. Telegraph writer was anticipating 2000 dollar gold at weekend

POG doesn't look very promising nowadays.
