Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

641 mil market cap already !

Computer says no for me, i dont care about the potential but the soaring
value already means i'll leave it for the next punter.

It's 808m Mcap ravey davey, but RKH have the Oil to back it up....Mcap will rise a fair bit more with the fundraiser of course + the sp should continue up this week.

Marky...Perhaps Piers will have his other company do some CSEM over the sealion area?

242 million barrels times an 8.5 US$ per barrel in the ground valuation gives an over 2 billion dollar market cap for just Sea Lion (1.3 billion).

That excludes everything else they have, all the other prospects and ignores the the likely upgrading of Sea Lion.

So presently the price is quite undervalued IMO ;)

0651 GMT [Dow Jones] Bank of America Merrill Lynch raises Rockhopper (RKH.LN) price target to 700p from 650p to reflect the commercial derisking of the Sea Lion field in the North Falklands. Says the successful flow test announced Friday is a key step forward to commerciality, removing uncertainties around the quality of the field. Now sees Rockhopper focusing on accelerating the appraisal of the field. Keeps the stock at buy. Shares closed Friday at 420p. (michele.maatouk@dowjones.com)

In 18 months time it should be over 2000p and even over 3000p.

This is just the start, for those who can buy fully paid for an be patient, there is a wonderful chance to make a load of money here........

Forget the short term thinking, buy fully paid for and hold.........

Proselenes - 20 Sep 2010 08:18 - 2665 of 6294

Managed to get a few more this morning.

Added to my large long term fully paid for, no stop loss, holding.

And keeping the focus on 18 months time, when the price should be well over 2000p levels.

Ignore the short term ups and downs, tuck them away for 18 months !

My advice is to hold till AGM on the 30th as i think we will have a better idea and i think news before then and find out what the upgrade is.

If holding Desire be carefull short term as they havent found oil yet!!! RKH have and you cant take that away.

The way i understand things if RKH had the proper gear down there they would of been pumping 5000 to 7000 mill bb on flow test.

It will all come out in the washing.

Going like a train....

Proselenes - 20 Sep 2010 08:33 - 2669 of 6294

Hold until AGM ? I am holding until Dec 2011.

At which point it should be well over 2000p a share will good old RKH.

Been in since 38p, not sold any, added more and no plans to sell a single one.

hlyeo98 - 20 Sep 2010 08:33 - 2670 of 6294

ravey davy gravy - 20 Sep 2010 08:47 - 2672 of 6294

Papelpower is what puts me off this stock.

All his none stop ramping is familiar, at some stage he will sell and then start
to deramp none stop.

Seen it all before !

mitzy - 20 Sep 2010 08:47 - 2673 of 6294

This ones got 1000p written all over.
