Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

you may well be right, but at least at the moment, sp is pretty robust against the trend which tends (no more than that) to contradict you

Treblewide - 21 Oct 2008 21:25 - 267 of 6187

really? the trend i am looking at since July is lower highs and lower lows on the chart signifying a strong down trend...maybe i am missing something? where is the uptrend?

chessplayer - 22 Oct 2008 10:14 - 268 of 6187

Treble.
I do not understand your comment re partnerships not making money.
Isn,t advertising revenue involved here ,even if there is nothing else, and the bigger the partner the more lucrative the contract.

Treblewide - 22 Oct 2008 10:18 - 269 of 6187

i am sure it makes them a few pence....but it will be insignificant....they need customers...hence the reason for thier large losses...

chessplayer - 22 Oct 2008 11:12 - 270 of 6187

It had been my understanding that most of the losses related to high flotation costs which had much to do with the initial fall from early highs.Anyway, they have significant cash and support from Autonomy if needed.
I guess we'll have to wait a few weeks to find out.

Treblewide - 22 Oct 2008 11:16 - 271 of 6187

no they have signifinant trading losses...there is a fundamental difference..and i dont expect these to decrease

Clubman3509 - 22 Oct 2008 11:24 - 272 of 6187

Why would Autonomy support it

chessplayer - 22 Oct 2008 12:12 - 273 of 6187

Well, for one ,Autonomy hold a 9.9% stake, and Mike Lynch clocks in at 8.6%.I would say that is reason, would't you?

Clubman3509 - 22 Oct 2008 12:29 - 274 of 6187

Autonomy or CEO dont seem to have helped it on its decline from SP 65p to its currant SP 22p

chessplayer - 25 Oct 2008 11:10 - 275 of 6187

I think that holding firm yesterday at 20 ,amid a lot of stock devastation, should be a good sign.Especially if the market begins to recover.

cynic - 25 Oct 2008 12:31 - 276 of 6187

might get a decent DCB, though don't bet on it, but a true recovery is still a long time off, and if the media keep harping on, then a lot lower is on the cards before then

HARRYCAT - 25 Oct 2008 14:44 - 277 of 6187

Worth buying sub 20p, imo, with a target of 26/27p, but this share should come with it's own health warning 'Don't fall in love with a name or a stock'.

Clubman3509 - 25 Oct 2008 16:09 - 278 of 6187

15p good price to take a punt

HARRYCAT - 25 Oct 2008 17:59 - 279 of 6187

I'd be happy with 17p. 15p is hoping a bit too much, imo.

Clubman3509 - 26 Oct 2008 11:42 - 280 of 6187

The way things are going unless a general bounce up in shares happens it could be a lot less than 15p Many better, more established companies have lost a great deal of their value.

Lets all hope for a good week

cynic - 26 Oct 2008 14:49 - 281 of 6187

no chance of that i fear, though IEC and perhaps SHP could buck the trend ..... am currently holding shorts in CSR and WPP and may well switch more of what is left of my porfolio in that direction

chessplayer - 27 Oct 2008 10:36 - 282 of 6187

Results to be announced Monday 10 november

Still Waiting - 27 Oct 2008 12:39 - 283 of 6187

less than 2 weeks to the results.

if their bad it'll be 15p before then!!

chessplayer - 27 Oct 2008 13:42 - 284 of 6187

According to a report from Citigroup Global Markets today, their analyst is looking for calendarised results (instead of fiscal year which ends in March) -$.05 for 2008 $0.00 for 2009 $.08 for 2010 -- these numbers are not changed from previous estimates. His price target remains at 80p or around $1.26 (at 1.58 exchange) . He still rates the stock 1S ( buy/ speculative).

chessplayer - 27 Oct 2008 13:50 - 285 of 6187

Even with the general meltdown, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a move upwards as we approach these important results. If profitability has been reached or is still expected earlier than previous calls, we can expect a significant surge.
That said, theses are far from normal times.
